First off a disclaimer, I am not saying that Barack Obama was the best choice for the Nobel Peace Prize, as it is subjective and each nominee has merit. It was a shock that he won with only being in office for just over 9 months.
One of the comments I've seen is that he was nominated before February 1 of this year. With that, how could they even presume he would be acceptable for the award? ... |

You know, I was just wondering....
Why is it that if you cross the North Korean border illegally you get thrown into prison and get 12 years of hard labor? Why is it if you cross the Iranian border while out supposedly leisurely hiking in the hills, you get arrested and imprisoned?
But why is it that if you cross the U.S. border illegally, you get a drivers license, a Social Security... |

From the collapse of the 1964 Phillies, to the Eagles of 1980, to the 76ers of the A.I. years, and even last year with the Eagles being only yards short of getting to the Super Bowl, Philadelphia sports teams have a way of coming up just short of the goal. Around here it has a name, Negadelphia. That feeling inside that says no matter how good we are doing, it is only going to end in heartache... |

Last Tuesday was an election day.
How many of you went to the polls? In my home town, the districts ranged from an 18% to just over 25% showing in the 4 precincts. The one I live in was 23.4%. That is of registered voters. I've already received 6 $5 Amazon.com gift certificates and am waiting on the 7th, and I just started doing it in May. I don't sit there and just do searches all day, but just use it as my normal search engine. I would recommend it and if you haven't joined yet then send me a message to use my link so I can share in a bit of your bucks. |

In the history of the United States only one treaty was honored by both sides. William Penn and the native Americans who lived in the area. My family came over as part of the group that arrived with William Penn. We were the only truly legal immigrants.
Second, there are laws, the laws used to be made for a reason, now a days I'm not so sure about that. I am not advocating actions such as th... |
