dlpierce responded to a discussion called Married women in wife.
My husband expects my full attention, but he doesn't control me like he use to do. So he no longer gets my full attention. This game should work both ways as I have never tried to distract him from doing what he wants to do and I feel I should have the same respect. Every person needs to be their own person. For a happy marriage it is important to set aside time for each other, but not invade s...

dlpierce responded to a discussion called What would you not give up, even when you're madly in love with someone? in relationships.

While focusing on family is important you must not forget your own needs and wants. No matter how much you love someone never let them fully control who you are. I wish I had taken this advice when I was young.

dlpierce responded to a discussion called How do you interpret your dreams? in dreamer.
Dream interpretation is unique to each dreamer. Symbols may help guide you in the meaning, but symbols can also mean something different in the way it is seen in the dream. For example a dog means loyalty. A dog bite means betrayal, while a barking dog is associated with pleasures, but if you love dogs it simply could mean you like their company. Let me give you a link to an article I wrote for...

dlpierce responded to a discussion called what do you do for writers block? in writer.
I love to write. My interest are wide spread, but I sometimes have writer's block. I've found sometimes you need to take a break and view the things around you. Watch a movie, read a book, sometimes the answer is right in front of us. Reviews make for good reading.

dlpierce responded to a discussion called Why not buy a house?! in friend.

Not everyone are cut out to be home owners. At least, if you rent it's easier to just leave when problems arrive. Where ever you go there will be difficult people to deal with at one time or another. You are the only one who knows what works for you. Tell your friends what you told us. You don't want to move.

dlpierce responded to a discussion called Home Remedy For Tooth Ache in questions & answers.
A hot tea bag that has been slightly steeped will take any infection away from the gums that are causing a tooth to ache. Apply directly to the area inflamed. This is only a temporary cure. The dentist is your only option to rid the problem completely.

What would you do if your husband wasted thousands of dollars?

About a year ago I sold a piece of property left to me by my mother. I put some money into separate savings accounts for my husband and I to have for safe keeping if something should happen to either...

Whose your favorite classic western star?

I love watching the old classic westerns. There were many aired back in the 60s. My favorite has always been The Virginian. I got to meet James Drury-The Virginian this weekend and can tell you he is...

Could it be I want to lose weight bad enough to actually do it this time?

For the bigger part of my life I have been somewhat over weight. I've tried many times over the years to maintain a better figure. In my early twenties I lost excess fat without much trouble, but the...

Have you ever had a gut feeling to do something out of the ordinary?

I'm planning a trip next month to visit my cousin who lives 6 hrs. from me and attend a horse show near her to meet an old western star. I feel I need to take this trip and my son and his wife are...

Old classic television made back in the 60s and 70s seem better than today.

I really enjoy the old classic westerns like they made in the 60s and 70s like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Virginian. Why can't they make a good western t.v. show today? I liked the old family shows...
