Anyone else seen this? A biker was involved in an accident caused by a sheep wandering onto the road, and the local council has billed him for repairing the damage caused to the road in the accident. Apparently it's standard procedure.
Nice to see how compassionate our local councils are. |

If they have operated within the letter of the law - and unfortunately they probably have, as the laws on MP expenses were written by MPs (fancy that) - there is no real likelihood that any legal action will be taken against them. I actually voted in the last general election, for the first time in my life. I didn't so much vote "for" any party so much as against Labour. Who really, really need kicking out before they turn the entire country into a police state (although it may already be too late). |

It may be too late by now to change things. That's my biggest fear. We now have a stealth government that sneaks taxes and legislation through. Should Labour win the next election, I'm seriously considering emigrating. For Labour to even pretend to be the government of the working class these days is a horrendous lies.
