Definitely. The annual salary of young engineers in my country are typically around USD 8500. If I work in the US or in most European countries, I can earn USD 60,000. So the factor that makes me leave my job to work abroad is SALARY.

I studied abroad because I wanted to go to a good university. I don't think I can be a qualified engineer if I study in the lousy university in my country. By having a degree from a top university, it's easier for me to get a job.

I keep a detailed record of the money I had spent and will spend so I know exactly how much money that I still have, this is quite similar to your 'system'. Yeah I can get really exhausted when I have to transit in an airport for several hours. I can't sleep in the airport because people can steal my bag or I can miss my flight.

Thanks for the response mesuaky. It makes sense to say that people hate changes. I remember that some people said that Windows 2000 is better than XP when XP were just released.
