I am pretty sure the newsman said 4-8 inches as well. We DID get almost 17 inches of rain here in about 48 hours once, and the flooding was terrible (I live in a low-lying area close to the coast). That is really what wake services and funeral services are supposed to be. They are meant to be a time for families to get together to remember the good times they had with the deceased person. Sadly, this is about the only time I see some of my family members.
