Have you ever entered a photography contest? How did you do? I'm trying to find some good places to submit to photography contests, but everything I have found looks like a pyramid scheme and not legitimate at all. I'm looking for some good sites to submit to. I know about JPG Magazine, I haven't submitted anything to them yet, but I want to. Anybody know of any other places to submit your photos? |

Amazon was actually the site that I was talking about that was annoying me. Every single item that I found that I wanted was only offered by another company so of the 7 items I wanted to buy, I was looking at $70 just in shipping. |

Recognition is pretty much what I'm going for right now. I want to try to sell some prints or get people to hire me to take pictures, but I'm not really sure how to get people to even look at what I have to offer. I figured by signing up with a contest, at least people would be able to search for some other stuff that I've done. |

With all of the digital technology that is out right now, learning photography is very simple. You don't really need to learn as much as you used to have to learn to take a good photo. The best tool to learning good photography will be the user manual that comes with your camera. Anything else you need to know you can look up on the internet. I haven't ever read an eBook, but I really want to try it. I think it would probably be a little bit faster, but I'm afraid that I would skip a lot of the book. It seems like I'm more likely to just daze out when I'm on the computer than I would be if I were reading an actual book. |
