I am Christian, but I do respect the Muslim faith, so you won't get any argument from me, I think it is an excellent question. My opinion as to why this occurs has to do with the basic differences between Religion and Science. In the USA we don't use the dowry system, but I do know they use it in some places in the world. About as close as we get is traditionally the brides parent's pay for certain things for the wedding, and the groom's parents pay for others.

I have done it several times, usually you have to contact the place online that you bought the merchandise, and obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), then send it back as they instruct. Some merchants even let you return the item to a local store if they have one. I went to iWriter, clicked on Write Content, and then scrolled down the page a bit. Right below the message about premium writers in yellow highlight are the standard ones that anyone can write and build their status.

I think they are pretty reasonable for what you get, you just have to make sure if it is a newer model laptop, check the prices by searching for the particular model you are interested in. When I buy used equipment from Ebay, I never hesitate to ask more questions or if they have more pictures etc. I figure if the seller is representing the item accurately, they shouldn't have a problem answ...

I don't think you would have to give away the surprise by looking up certain computers. I check prices quite a bit as I have to advise people if it is worth fixing something or just buying new. A basic laptop with a 15'6 inch screen and 2-4GB of memory is around $299; just about anyone has a new model around that price. You get a basic dual core processor and integrated graphics for that price....

Very true indeed. I remember watching a series on TV that I believe was written and narrated by Desmond Morris. In examining different cultures it was noted that we here consider a handshake as an act of greeting another person, but it started in some cultures as a way to show you had no weapons.
