I would not go back. Once we have given a divorce, then it is finished. Then there is noneed to go back to tht person and if we go back, then it only shows that we are weak and immature people. I would choose the wife. The child is not yet born. The person with whom we have lived for so long a time is much more important than the child who is yet to come out of the womb. Moreover, the husband has promised his wife love, comfort etc.. whereas he has not promised anything to his unborn child.

It is a shock. But still, it is a good thing that he died peacefully at home. Many animals die in the worst of conditions. They do not receive either love or compassion from anybody. Therefore, I would say that your dog was lucky to have received love and genuine concern from you, especially in his last hours. I am sure that those last moments of his were indeed great moments for him.
