I just watched a YouTube entitled "Illegal to Sleep". It really was an eye-opener. This one lady had lost her son and was now homeless. She has gotten 30 situations in a year and a half. Each one is hundreds of dollars. Someone...

Good morning, friends.
I want to be thrifty in some ways this month as I have overspent in other ways. So I decided the I would not turn on the heater until next month.
But as soon as I decided that, the cold...

I was awakened again last night by a dining creature that did not sound like Kitty. I chased the raccoon off. It returned, and I chased it off again.
The night before, when I chased the raccoon off, I saw Kitty watching the whole...

koopharper Raccoons are very territorial and they will often kill cats in their territory. They generally don't get along with cats. We did have one living under the camp along with the cat but that truce had a lot to do with the raccoon not being in the best of shape....

For a second, when i just opened the video, i thought panda died. No, she (female) went to China, from South Korea.
I love pandas. Never saw one in a real life but watched a lot of videos about panda nannies and maybe considering...

I just read a funny article saying that the Conspiracy Theory types are having a good old time with the forthcoming solar eclipse.
Do you remember Alex Jones, the "conspiracy theorist" who made a lot of money spreading ideas like...

This is what eclipse enthusiasts are known as and --"shadow lovers" in Latin. I can't believe how into it some people are. They've booked hotel rooms months in advance, some even years, and are making quite a deal out of this...

koopharper I remember viewing a partial eclipse when I was very young through a bundle of photo negatives. This one will be a lot closer to a full eclipse for me. I'll be at work and Moncton where I work will reach 99%. Home here will likely be greater than 95%. For me,...

Happy Friday everyone!
This was the weirdest start to my morning. Who would have anticipated an earthquake here in Pennsylvania.
Apparently a 4.8 magnitude earthquake startled many of us here on the east coast.
At first I...

I have been exposed to covid 19 this week.
A person (H) who provides less than one hour per week of support in our room tested positive yesterday. She was not running a fever when she was working. She had stayed home due to...

The consultation for hyperbaric treatment was about two and a half hours long. Bob is tired now and is in bed asleep. I took a short nap.
One thing they have to do is verify for the insurance that his medical problems justify...

Today's weather was supposed to be cloudy with possible rain but good ol' Sol fought his way out and it was quite a pleasant afternoon. I did a bit more yard clean up and sat in the sun drinking tea and reading for a bit. The...

If you look carefully you can see a huge opossum in the dark of my porch from head to tail. He is making a pig of himself eating leftover French fries. Since my porch is on the second floor my friends also place food for him up...

koopharper When I was in college one of the guys had never seen an opossum before. He comes running into the dormitory. "Guys guys! I just saw the biggest rat I ever saw in my life". We of course went running out to have a look and it was some dopy opossum out there in...
