I do the same thing. Not so much because of dirt though... I was on a plane once and the guy next to me asked for a can of Coke. The attendant offered him a cup but he said he'd drink it right out of the can. Well I live in an apartment and I DO see people sifting through the trash. I have a cross cut shredder and I use it on everything with my personal info on it. You never can be too safe. And I've had my identity stolen, so I know what a pain it is to fix!

I would have a shower still, but keep it low key and invite only very close family an d a few of her friends. I had a baby when I was 16 and I had a shower. If someone is offended, then they don't have to attend. But it isn't really fair to punish the baby. Showers are intended for first time parents to help with providing baby supplies. I only report it if someone sends me a 1099. Otherwise, I don't really keep track of what I earn. I know for a fact that I never earn more than $600 anyway. But if someone sends you a 1099, then chances are, they are also reporting it, so you better account for it.

Last weekend my 6 year old decided to make a bathroom cocktail by emptying half a tube of toothpaste into a water bottle and then adding most of her earring cleaning solution and some mouthwash. At least she didn't try to drink it, but lately the bathroom has become her science lab!And bath time? You'd think she was at a wave pool!Don't even get me started on this subject! lol

Not from the trash, but when I used my card to reserve a hotel room.
