I've read an article recently about the experiment that is going to begin in August this year, involving CERN's giant particle accelerator. Some people reckon it might create black holes that will swallow the Earth. Physics and Chemistry have never been my strong points so I've got no idea if they have a scientific base in saying that or it's just another panic attack born from people's ignoran...

For those who like sci-fi/fantasy literature, I have published the first chapter of a story entitled The End of the Punishment on storymash.com. This is a site where people are meant to continue other people's stories, so if you have any ideas how to continue mine, you are more than welcome. I would also appreciate any honest opinion and advice. http://storymash.com/u/lonemer/migituko/

Your story sounds very promissing. I guess continuing other people's stories is not as easy as it seems and people are generally reluctant to it. To me it seems hard enough continuing my own. I wish I could help you but I had the same problem with my stories on storymash. I wrote the first chapter hoping that someone would write the next and get me out of trouble but they didn't, so I got stuck...

Thanks. The problem is I haven't really thought about the second chapter when I wrote it. It just came to me like that. I hoped somebody else would continue it. But since that seems unlikely to happen, I guess I should start thinking about it now. I will let you know when it's done!!

I have seen several versions of the movie, but I still prefer the book. I usually like books more than movies because you can imagine the characters and the settings as you like, not as somebody else wants you to. In a way, you become a sort of movie director in your mind.

A feminist point of view

It is a known fact that movies and books influence us in our way of thinking. Beauty and the Beast is a very beautiful and touching story, and my favourite fairy tale. But don't you think that...

Beauty and the Beast

Once I heard a father saying that he wouldn't let his son watch Beauty and the Beast, because it is too deep for a child and he wouldn't understand it properly. What is your opinion about that?
