 I know the meanness, anger, bickering, and back stabbing exist, but mostly the show is edited to show all that. Presumably it continues to work, although I think recent seasons have had fewer viewers. Last season I hardly watched. Thanks for the input, peavey! We just have a dog; our kids are grown. Where we are now we have carpet and she can run freely without falling. In our house we took out some carpet and put in laminate through the living, dining, and kitchen and loved it, but poor Daisy would slip if she did much running. I'm seeing linoleum mentioned more than ever. Seems that it's becoming more popular again and sounds like a really good choice. My first thought was to say oh, our floor will be darker than your white so it won't be hard to keep clean. Obviously it will get dirty, but just won't be as noticeable (aside from the light dog hair). Your house sounds lovely! Thanks for the input! |

I'm sure we'll have some rugs, stowyk. Our laminate in the previous house was kind of cold, but not as cold as tile I'm sure. Hmmm. Maybe I should stock up on slippers at the after Christmas sales to provide for every family member and guest! Thanks for the thought! |

You're right. I guess "tile" isn't always the same for other people as it is for me. I meant ceramic tile, but what we have now chosen is actually porcelain tile. That means if there is a crack, the inside will be the same color as the outside. It's pretty durable, though.
