You are correct that the word we translate as "hell" has many meanings in the bible. The most prominent is the place of eternal separation from God (the lake of fire). The other is the realm of the dead (Sheol). The bible speaks of the realm of the dead being separated into two areas. The realm of the righteous dead (Paradise) and the realm of the unrighteous dead (a place of fire and anguish)....

You didn't mention the exact area but it sounds like you know it fairly well and have some concerns. I would think that an event like that would be swarmed with 8-12 year old girls and their parents hoping to get a chance to see a Disney Channel "star." The Jewish Talmud describes the Torah as the first 5 books of the bible (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy). Deuteronomy only contains 34 chapters. It depends on your aspirations. You choose a college major typicaly when you have an idea of what job you want to do. If you can get that job without the advanced degree, then go get it! If you will need the M.S. to get that job, then stick it out a little bit longer and hopefully it will be worth it. Or maybe you'll get lucky and land a job now that will pay for your advanced degree.
