How do I send a private message to other users?
I am receiving spam/unwanted private messages from a myLot user, what can I do to stop this?
Are my myLot messages private? I see them when I do a search.
In order to send a private message to a user, that user needs to be one of your verified friends.
Simply click "messages" at the top of your homepage.
Next, click "compose" located on the left side of the page.
Enter the username in "myLot user" box to whom you would like to send a private message too. (Make sure they are added as your friend)
Follow the remaining directions, and click "send message". You have successfully sent a myLot private message.
If you are receiving unwanted private messages from other myLot users, simply remove them from your friend list, and they will not be allowed to send you any private messages. Always be selective when adding users to your friends list. This will help eliminate unwanted private messages.

Yes, they are private. Private messages show up in a search for your convenience only, other members do not see your messages in search results.
