I just recently spent 7 days at the wildfire academy, it is now the largest wildland firefighting and incident management academy in the USA. Besides the classes that are offered each year, it is always nice to see old friends, and meet new ones that have the same passion as I do. This year has flown by so fast! I am going to be spending this Christmas with family, and living back in my home state! I'll also be sharing this Christmas with my fiance, it will be our first Christmas together. And my oldest daughter will be coming in from Virginia for Christmas, hopefully we can surround her with love and fun, as her hubby will be deployed shortly before Christmas.

Seeing the picture of your tree reminds me that I won't have to rake leaves this year! After moving back to Texas, it is the one thing I am missing about the Northeast, all the gorgeous colors of Fall up there. And I even miss raking the leaves, for me it was fun. I know I must be crazy lol. I forgot that in Texas there are two colors, green or dead! lol

My fiance is 8 years younger than I am. I have always been one of those that thought age is just a number. It really depends on the compatibility of the couple, not their age.

The three most important things in my life are family, in particular my parents and my grandaughter and daughters. My son-in-law who is a hero to all of us, serving this country in the Army, and my career. I do have a fourth, my pup, who keeps me company.

Glad it was a better year, and congrats to both of you for the weight loss, I know how that goes, I lost 150 lbs 4 years ago and have kept it off, keep up the good work. Here's to 2010 being even better than 2009 for you and your family.

Weight loss is good,:), been keeping busy helping my dad to remodeling on their house, clearing brush that needed to be cleared out around the house, so that there is a defensible area should there ever be a grass fire around. And helped my youngest daughter paint the inside of her house, and going to help a friend paint the interior of her shop. And (see other new discussion lol) just recentl...

Awww, he's so sweet looking. But he is better off. I had a doberman that I had to have put to sleep, due to cancer, it was a very rapid spreading cancer, and I was not going to watch him suffer. Even though it's hard it is sometimes the best thing. I haven't had a cat in many years, but, I am soon goin to be the 'step-mom' to my fiance's cat, his name is Blaze, he an orange tabby, and is 3 year...
