my activity | palonghorn responded to a discussion called Has Anyone Just Recently Moved To East Tennessee From Another State. 1 week ago I just found your discussion, as I was searching for discussions on Tennessee. I realize it's an older discussion, but it interested me. I did make one such move in 2005, from Texas to Pennsylvania, a bit more than 11 hour drive. ha ha In the end, 2009, I ended up moving back to Texas. However, I don't regret it, it was beautiful up there. And while I was there I got to see things I wouldn't ha... | | palonghorn responded to a discussion called Maybe everything does happen for a reason, idk... in relationships. 1 week ago I do think things happen for a reason, it's like stepping stones, to get to where you should be. A friend talked me into signing up at OKC, it was kinda entertaining seeing the profiles, I did meet with 2 locally, one for lunch, and one happened to live near my fire department, so met there. They were nice, but just not for me. If red flags are flying.....pay attention to them! As for Roger, du... | | palonghorn responded to a discussion called Opportunists Really? in people. 1 week ago Basically you said it, they want to make themselves look better to others. As for putting up with these kinds of people, I don't. Or at least, not for long. Once I find out that they are basically turning the whole story around trying to make themselves look better to others, I'm done with them. It doesn't matter to me if they tell anyone the things I have done for them, I do things for others ... | | palonghorn responded to a discussion called Facebook and getting to know women in relationships. 1 week ago You actually seem to be assuming a lot here. Just because you were both nice at the zumba classes, with 'hi' or hello's doesn't mean she wanted to 'get to know' you. I don't mean that in a mean way, I'm just saying, you really don't know her just from that. As for accepting your request on facebook, I do that, and then rarely respond to any posts by that person. You don't really say what kind o... | | palonghorn responded to a discussion called As An Adult - Wishing Your Life Away in life. 1 week ago I always count down the days to big events, such has vacation away, not so much til a holiday is upon us. but I don't think that it is 'wishing our lives away'. I normally am counting down days til a vacation because it is going to see my daughter, she lives in another state. I also have a planner, which I start planning things on for a trip...to start packing, things that need to be done befor... | | palonghorn responded to a discussion called do you believe in fairytale happy endings? in friend. 1 week ago My best friend as a little wall hanging at her house, it says, It's never too late to live happily ever after. Yes, I do believe it can happen, maybe not like in the fairy tales, but we can all make our own happy ending. And I agree that life throws you curves, but if it's worth it, you can make it have a good outcome. It might not be the first time around, I have been divorced 3 times, but eve... | | palonghorn responded to a discussion called Some people just love to lecture.. in life. 1 week ago There is always going to be someone like that! For me, for years, it was my mom. At the time, I was 5'3" a little over 300 lbs, smoking, and eating not so healthy foods. And she would lecture me, about weight, about health, and about smoking! Even at my heaviest, I had a physical, and no high blood pressure (which she and my older sister have) blood sugars were perfect, heart is perfect......so... | | palonghorn responded to a discussion called are chocolates good for dog?? in dogs. 1 week ago It is dark chocolate and cocoa, such as baking chocolate, that is bad for dogs. Milk chocolate is not the culprit. Every dog I have ever had ate chocolate, milk chocolate that is, and lived to be a ripe old age. I had a basset that loved onions! and did him no harm. | | palonghorn received a best response in the discussion The pleasures of reading. by Pose123. 1 day ago I love curling up on a cold, wet, winter day with a good book, my throw blanket and a cup of coffee with my favorite flavored creamer in it. I love 'getting' into a book, it's as if you are there, in that moment. I have even been known to go back and re-read a book several years after I read it the first time. I have always had a love for reading. It is also relaxing, and as you said, takes us ... | | palonghorn received a best response in the discussion do you believe in fairytale happy endings? by livvy092002. 1 week ago My best friend as a little wall hanging at her house, it says, It's never too late to live happily ever after.
