It is duller than a dullard and that is saying that dullards are actually quite cool! Have any of you lot just been that fed up with work that you just want to jack it in but there is no alternative at present so you have to stick it out until something else comes up? Bored bored bored.....

you need to get busy on your internet empire, become more independent & self sufficiently. I used to work in this awful factory & it just drained away my will to live day by day. It closed down eventually & I was out of a job, but strangely gave me a sigh of relief, the lack of income sucks though.

I that is true, maybe I can build something up that is sustainable and then I can tell my managers to shove it!!! I've had factory jobs before and they is the pits, they mainly consisted of legal refugees, not that there is anything wrong with that, but they never spoke hardly any english and I felt I was suffocating in the ready meal industry with no one to talk to and bad hygiene regulations and procedures(eating ready meals, I would advise against it after working there!!) after I finished there I spent nearly 8 years on and off dole, which gave me a break, but then I had to get a job any job and the evil council came up and I've been there 3 years now and it is boring and hell to deal with the public and call centre at times..

the place I worked had probably more immigrant workers than Brits, but to be fair they were all nice people. There was quite a lot of Muslim workers & most actually live around my area & still say hello to me to this day, those that remember me that is. There was a few Indian ladies too, I see them in Tescos all the time, & they say hello. I'm amazed they remember me after 10 years. But the job itself of simply awful, they made textiles & I had to pack these massive reels of yarn into boxes all day, talk about mind numbing & soul destroying!

Hell yeah, I know all about mind numbing jobs and soul destroying work, I shelled nuts in a factory, put ready meals into boxes, put little marker pen dots onto over 300,000 products a day(and to this day I'm not sure what the marker dots were for!!) I'm beginning to prefer work that is more of a challenge and something to wake up for!!

Not really. I've always enjoyed working and I haven't ever felt like giving up for reasons like this because I normally push myself. I know this attitude will push me up the ladder, my boss are always impressed with my attitude which is welcoming. However, My first waitering job I did when the cheif decided he didn't like me and then because I complained how unprofessional he was I got shipped out. (unfairly) mind you this is only because they wanted more girls and I'm not joking. ~Joey

i work at a very boring job too. I use my time to come here in MyLot and find other online ways to make money. I stay with my present job because it pays excellant money and has great benefits. There are some days that it is hopping, but most of the time it is slow and boring. I may end up making the same salary online one and that would be awesome. So use your spare time to make more online and hang in there for the funds. Some boring money is better than no money.
