i have to tell a funny story about being on bed rest in the hospital while pregnant with my daughter. i was having contractions for two days allready and i was lying down in bed and kind of felt myself getting wet. i rang the buzzer for the nurse and on the intercome she says yes i replied "umm i think i'm leaking". i really didn't know waht to do or say in the intercome. i kind of wasn't sure if it was my water broking. it was my first pregnancy. it was my water breaking but it was hillarious.

Something similar happened to me when i was pregnant. I went to the toilet in our apartment before we were going into town. I had finished and as i stood up, i big gush of water came flying down. I thought i had wet myself and not realised. I shouted at my boyfriend, i think my waters have broken. He was like OMG and grabbed my bag and said come on and we get to the hospital. I Said no, i want to have a shower first before i go cause i'm all wet. lol, my contractions hadnt started yet so i was in no rush. But I kept leaking for the next day until i went into labour. I'll never forget it, every time i moved slightly, a big gush came out.lol

That is funny. I was in labor for 15 hours with my daughter and my water broke before I went to the hospital. when I got there they gave me medicine to clean out my bowel. I went to the bathroom and did my thing. I laid in labor for a vaery long time. I was in so much pain. The nurse would come in and check on me every so often and I kept telling her to get me a bed pan because I thought I had to poop. She kept telling me that was not the case. She finally did get the bed pan and it wasn't too much longer and out came my daughter. that was funny. i had so much pressure, I thought I needed to do number two.

I have spent my share of time in the hospital and you never really know what to say when you are on the speaker. The nurses have there own language for things and I always seem to be asking for the wrong thing. I just say doo hicky a lot and they just come to the room so I can explain what I am saying. I also find this funny. The last hospital I was in the nurse spoke broken english and I could not understand what she was saying anyway.

That is so funny!! I never know what to say with things like that either!! With my daughter I was at my parents house and a girl that lived next door was over visiting and my water broke while we were sitting there talking on the couch. The girl was in the middle of a story so I just sat there and waited then said to my mom, "My water just broke". It was so scary being the first time and all! But with my son I was induced so I had to go to the hospital at like 5am for everything. It wasn't bad though but when the anesthesiologist came in to give me my epidural my water hadn't broken yet. So I was sitting on the side of the bed with him at my back giving me the epidural and my water broke, but it was like really slow so I didn't realize what was happening and then all of a sudden he goes to walk away and almost slips in my "puddle"...it was SOOO embarassing!!! It got all over the nurse somehow...I don't know how but she had to change her clothes!! My husband was like, "why didn't you say something????" and I had to tell him that I didn't even feel it because I was having a contraction and worrying about the anesthesia guy... I am still embarassed about it two years later!!!
