as most of you know my daughter is going to a school program once a week for 2 1/2 hours. well i'm kind of ecited to have me time while she is at school. i've booked myself an appointment for a massage for next week, i can't wait. i never get to do anything for myself and i usually never spend money on myself either but i could really use a nice treat for myself. what do you do for me time? if you get any.

I don't really get a lot of me time because I work throughout the day and have the children at night. My husband works at night but he sleeps during the day. Our children go to an inhome daycare. He doesn't understand that sometimes I just need time to myself. He thinks that I get alone time all day at work. Hello I take the children to daycare in the morning, go to work, pick them up, go home make dinner, clean and spend some time with the children before bedtime which they fight me on sometimes till really late and start it all over the next day. While my husband works at night and sleeps for a little during the day and plays the rest of the day. And also always makes plans for himself on the weekends to go do something. I'm think I'm starting to get across to him though that I need some time by myself and not always with the children.

OOOHHH! I love massages! They are the best! However, I haven't had one since before getting pregnant almost 6 years ago. I think I need to get one. LOL They are so nice and relaxing! IF you don't have a talkative massage person (not sure how to spell it). :) The last time I had a massage, the woman wanted to talk and talk and talk! LOL

Good for you, I am sure that you deserve it! When I get time for myself I usually go shopping with my mom or get a pedicure. Sometimes I go to the book store and look at book with leisure, knowing that I don't have to rush so as to not bug everyone with my baby crying.

Good for you!!!! I don't have kids, and I'm unemployed, so I get a lot more me-time than most, BUT with recent troubles in my family, the most recent of which is my grandfather breaking his hip a few days ago, I feel like I'm the only freaking calm one. Every day I go out and buy myself a really good cup of coffee at The Second Cup, just up the street from here. Tonight is my knitting group, and they meet there every Tueaday night. I'm working on a green scarf, I hope to give to my niece.

My children are grown and I am disabled and do not drive so guess what I have lots of freaking me time. On top of that my huband works two jobs. He leaves at 6am and comes home at 10pm and on weekends he works out at a ranch that is in a trust. There is 6 kids who own the ranch but only my husband who takes care of it. What I am writing about is can you come pick up for your knitting group? I am almost finished with a wrap I got the pattern free off the internet. I will be selling the wrap when it is done. I only have 13 more rows to do. The pattern came from www.LionBrand.com and it is called Lace wrap. I did not use the Lion brand yarn but it did fit the gauge. It is almost 80inches long and 22 inches wide.

If the kids are gone to school and the wife is away at work then all I like to do is just sit back in oeace and quit and enjoy. For me its the simple pleasure I miss from being on my own but now I got 3 step kids and theres no more me or me time which Im all good with. They have to grow up and move out eventually right?lol

I was lucky I have a husband. My husband would watch my daughter every thursday night when she was young. I would go to kareoke with friends and just have fun. I also worked outside the home so I did not need much me time because I missed my kid by the time I got home. I understand how hard it is being a single parent to get me time because my cousin is a single mom. Her daughter is now 19 and she has plenty of me time now. I hope you have a great day and enjoy that message.

I love to go to the movies by myself, I get a large popcorn and soda!! And I don't have to share with anyone (of course I always refill it before I leave so my kids can have their own popcrn too). It is great not having to take anyone to the bathroom in the middle of the movie =)

Thats great poppoppop111 - hope you enjoy your massage! For me time, I get a pedicure and or manicure, sometimes I go to the movies, or I go and buy a peice of clothing, depending on how I fee and how much money I have on hand. Now and then I will go to a cafe and have a coffee and read a book. If i can't afford to get out, then I read at home, have a hot soak in the bath (lock the door LOL) and or go for a sleep LOL

I think that is a great idea. Every parent deserves some me time. Ive never had a professional massage but I think it would be awesome. I get alittle me time every day during the week. From about noon until 3pm. During this time i usually use the computer and make sure the house is clean. Then relax and read until time to walk to the bus stop. At night after the kid is asleep I take a nice relaxing bath. If my husband is home we usually shower together and then cuddle on the couch together for awhile.

Good for you. You deserve it. It's difficult to raise a kid. I have a lot of time to myself, recently. I'm trying to start my own business. But, I use my time to prepare. Enjoy the massage, you feel great.

Good for you!! I bet your excited, I would be. I am a stay at home mom of a 10 month old and I hardly ever get me time. My husband works 12 hour shift 5 days on, 5 off, and it keeps alternating so I pretty much take care of our daughter 24/7. I hardly ever spend money on me either because any time we have extra money it either goes to my daughter or husband. I never put myself first. I wish I could just have a day like your going to do. Enjoy every second of it!
