Simon actually spoke up!!!

Everyone else hear Simon actually say enough is enough, this is a compitition to find the American Idol? He really told Sanjaya what we have been saying for weeks. Even he is wondering what is going on. Hopefully, after tonight, the voting can get back to normal before it's too late. As far as I am concerned, he has only had one good week, and that was so long ago I can't remember what the song was.

Simon has said that more than once!! He is really upset that Sanjaya is still in. Last night I think broke the camels back. It is getting so close that it really needs to get real.

I am aware that he has made his comments, but I hadn't heard him be like that. He knows Sanjaya doesn't belong there, but he also knows he can't do anything either. I just got a kick out of Simon being blunt about the joke that has quit being funny.

Also, to 'rsilva', I am hoping that Simon doesn't let one hijacked season get the better of him. Something else I thought of, Randy, Paula, & Simon were the ones that kept putting Sanjaya through to the next round until it got to where we vote. So I guess the thing is, they should have sent him home before they brought the public opinion into it.

Simon said in an interview that if he wins, he won't do another American Idol. He stands to lose a lot of money if the voters make him the winner. Robert

First of all, I applaud Simon (never thought i'd say that) for his honesty and courage in saying exactly how a lot of us feel on having to endure Sanjaya'high school vocal performances week after week. I for one am a little tired of reading comments on how cute he is, or how people feel sorry for him, or how he is the underdog in this competition and people like voting for the underdog. What about the much more talented performers, who were voted off? ,while he gets to stay?those are the ones I feel sorry for.Putting in all that time and effort in their performances, only to be eliminated, while this mediocre at best and sometimes, (like last night) awful vocal performer remains. And why should anyone feel sorry for Sanjaya?who if and when (I hope tonight) does get voted off, will become a celebrity, with media interviews and record deals, not to mention his getting to tour with the other Idol finalists this Summer. All because somehow, he managed to do what no other Idol contestant before him managed to do, be a top 7 finalist with little talent and sub par vocal ability on a program that's supposeed to showcase the best.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Stop feeling sorry for the boy. He is not that talented but he will still have some sort of carreer and make some decent money because of all this crap. Vote him off and lets get focused on the serious contenders.

I get the feeling that you think I feel sorry for him. I only feel bad because alot of people were laughing at him. I feel bad for people that are the butt of such a big joke. Other than that, I think he should have not made it to the voting that was done by us. Randy, Paula, & Simon should have booted him before his sister.

I feel really sorry for the young lad because he was made to feel very foolish to a lot of people, I don't know what he has in store for him now. I must say that I respect Simon as a judge, I know a lot of people don't but at least he says it as it is and most of the time he turns out to be right, this time it seems to be right again to say enough is enough, this is a competition to find an American Idol that will go on in the music industry, so really they need someone who can sing well so they can make some money.

If you asked him, I bet he'd say it was all worth it for world-wide publicity. He has picked up more publicity than any other contestant who was not in the top 6. I could be wrong, I don't read everything, but it seems to me he is everywhere. But it is time for the paparazzi to move on and focus on the top 6. One of them will be our next A.I., and thankfully they are all great singers.

I don't care about these programs which are hype, publicity, money, commercialization and everything else other than music. A program based on American Idol called as Indian Idol is being shown in India and its same. I hate it what they do. Pure commercialisation of music. It degrades music.

This kind of program is entertaining. Sometimes we get really good singers and sometimes we get a really good laugh. It's okay not to like it tho, to each his/her own.

It's very funny to me. I suspect a lot has to do with votefortheworst.com I'm not a big fan of Idol, I watch the auditions just to see the bad ones. I think some of my dislike for Idol is because it messed with the House series for so long, and that is one show I love to watch. Robert http://rtsweb.homeip.net

I think the try-outs are the best part of the show. I dont know where 'votefortheworst' came from but shame on them. Why would people find entertainment in making it so that this kid is everywhere? Good job guys.

I was not surprised with what Simon said. I'm sure he doesn't want to compromise the show's credibility. They want a brilliant singer with a great personality to win. Sanjaya is not it. Even at his best, the other contestants are much better. Hopefully, this is the week that Sanjaya gets eliminated.

I didn't vote for him, not that I'm sure it matters. So far, they have voted off alot of people I liked, Not that I am a great judge of the technicalities of singing, but I know what I think sounds good.

Thank you THank You!!! your so right ! I was so proud of Simon and I could have just slapped Ryan- What the heck was he thinking feeding that frenzy? now we have to deal with just more intentional mis-votes on that "votefortheworst.com" compliments of Howard Stern (Seems that name means JERK in many languages! )!LOL. I'm with you - we are in search of the next "AMERICAN IDOL" It's not some ameteur hour at some school gym. With the highest ratings being triple what the next highest rated show - It's a force out there and I for one would think that would command the respect due it. Thank you for mentioning it and I hope it made a difference and he goes home!

Hopefully you have received the news by now. Sanjaya went home!!! It was probably a publicity stunt to boost ratings. Now it's really a good race. 5 of my favorites are still in it, so it's getting tough for me. I am going to have to stop considering their previous performances and base my judgements on that night only.

he is for sur ein his wrong element :-) Sure he can sing, but at the same time he does not belong amongst all those talented people and I have expected him to go home every week, now i dont´t know anymore. wouldnt be surprised if he will last a week orm 2 more. I do not like him and if i could vote, i would vote for Jordin, she is a star!

Never fear, Sanjaya is out of the compitition. And don't worry, I will vote for Jordin for you!!

Yes I heard it-- I don't think it really matters what Simon says- He is just a judge-- I agree 100% with him. I think Sanjaya should go- He should have gone prior to Gina and Haley-- They were both better singers- but it depends on how America votes- Enough people keep voting for Sanjaya-- so he gets to stay in- Heck he hasn't even been bottom 3 in a while and he is terrible!! Listen up American-- Quit voting for Sanjaya!

5 of my favorites since the try-outs are still in it. The 6th is Gina, who I think should still be there. Sanjaya should have went home instead of Gina, or Haley for that matter.

Yes, I saw this and htought it was hilarious! I am glad that one of the judges had the guts to say something. Maybe America will listen! :) Sanjaya seems like a nice enough kid and he's an ok singer. I mean, he sings better than me (of course) but he still just isn't up to par in this competition!

I agree. He should have been out long ago. He only had one good week as far as I care. He is gone now but I bet we don't stop talking about him for weeks. The only thing he is really out of is the compitition. Now he has time for everyone else that wants a piece of him, e.g. Oprah, Letterman, Regis, Stern, Leno. Not to mention the magazines that want his story.

Well, simon is my favorite judge, that is the essence of a true judge with all honesty and bluntness and I guess that s the way he ought to be. Im just glad he praised Jordin last night saying that she is america's next american idol and I hope it would happen. Its time to say good bye to sanjaya enough is enough.

I agree, Simon is my favorite judge, too. His honesty coupled with his facial expressions make him the best judge. Plus, he has nothing to lose, it's his show. He is the highlight of the show. I do disagree with him alot and sometimes his judgements make me really mad, but in the end, he is still my favorite judge.

I am not from the U.S. but I do agree with what Simon said besides if it's talent that the show is really after then Sanjaya has to go. Voters should be fair and should not make this as a serious business. The best deserves to win not the one with the most number of votes. I hope the votes has lesser percentage than what the judges think about when it comes to choosing the winner. I get to watch American Idol from Star World and I don't really like Sanjaya, the whole package. Sorry if I'm hurting anybody by saying this.

You are certainly not hurting my feelings. I don't care for him either. I'm sorry, but I don't know what 'Star World' is so I don't know when you see the show. You probably already know he went home finally, so now the show is down to 6 really good singers who have got alot of talent. It's anyones game now.

I'm so glad that someone actually spoke up. I hope that this does get Sanjaya voted off. He's cute, but he can not sing. And the bad thing is that he will be going on tour with them. Thats one ticket I will not be buying.

I don't have to worry who is on the tour, it doesn't come anywhere near my very small town. I wouldn't mind having a tour video. I think that kind of stuff is cool. That way I don't have to travel anywhere, and I can skip what I don't want to see.

It is about time he said something! It kinda shocked me actually. Sanjaya is definitely not as good as the others and I think a lot of great singers have went home while he continues to stay. Hopefully tonight he goes home but I doubt it... =(

Good singers like Gina. Well, it's over and Sanjaya is going home. Now it's down to probably the hardest 6 we've had to choose from, but my girl Lakisha is still in it. (Cute dog in your photo by the way.)
