I get emails like these all the time. I don't even read them anymore. As a matter of fact, if I don't know who an email is from, I delete. Too many scammers out there.

I don't think there is anyone stupid enough to fall for this obvious spam. "Liz" is an idiot for thinking people will believe this crap. I got an email today and i knew right away it was spam.

Timinator: you'd be surprised how many people fall for this scam. The 419 scam is Nigeria's biggest industry. They have huge networks of gangs doing nothing but emailing. It brings in, world-wide, up to $4billion a year. Some people have lost their life savings, even been killed after being lured to Africa with promises of riches. Some of the money supports terrorism.

Poor Liz. She can't spell and her grammar is terrible ... an obvious sign of a scam. But you can have some fun at her expense. First, set up an anonymous Hotmail address. Second, pretend you've fallen for her scam and wait for her reply.
Third, send her a picture of your naked butt and tell her to kiss it.

Yes it is a scam. You hear about people that fall for them all the time. But I think when it happens in the real world, it is not as obvious. There are people out there who really want to help but they get sucked in the scam and before they know what happened the scammer in gone and taken all the money they could from the victim.

Most of us don't. But the problem with SPAM is that it's such a cost effective marketing ploy that it's hard for people not to do it. In normal direct mailers - they need about 1% of the mail they send out to be profitable. For email stuff they can get away with a tenth of that. Somehow they should find a way of making spamers pay.

I just got that e-mail, i don't see how anyone could possibly fall for something so stupid. Oh so you father has $6.5million which your going to give me access to despite not even knowing my name? yes that is likely to happen

No, most of us are not stupid but you'd be surprised how dumb our greed can make us. My ex flatmate is a scam artist of the highest order - the beauty of his scams is the fact that they are all legal and the next beauty is you'd be surprised by who he's conned into supporting him.

I hate scammers, i got scammed in2 depositing a fake check for over $3,000 . We were un aware and the check cleared and we had a fantastic July 4th weekend, only to find out that we were -3,000 upon our return, I stear clear of this peeps now... still paying the bank back 2 :(

Some people do fall for it - my mother was telling me last week about some lady who sent them a money order for 2500 dollars to recieve the money - and they sent her a check for 100,000 dollars - she depostited it and started spending immediately. The bank called the next day and said the check was counterfit...the cops were all over her. They let her go because she genuinly seemed like she had no idea - but she has to pay back all the money she spent - plus she's out that 2500 too. Stupid people.
