What is the easiest thing you've sewn?

When I was at walmart the other day looking for fleece for a blanket, I found this great material to make my daughter a dress, all I would have to do is sew it add the strap and be done with it. They also had this material for adults too. When I was looking at other material I came across material for a skirt that already had the elastic in it. I thought how easy would that be. Sew up the sides and hem it and its done. Within 30 minutes you would have a brand new cute skirt. So, my question is, what is the easiest project that you have done. How long did it take you. Since I'm still learning how to sew, I need the easiest projects that I can find.

jeans potholders.i just make a long rectangular strip from the pants, fold it upon itself into a smaller square, add a small loop at the top before sewing the edges up,and then quilt the front slightly. thing i like about these over store bought is they're thicker.i hate trying to pick up blazing hot pans with the thin, cheap ones they sell now.

They have gotten thin and cheap. I had a project sheet once for pot holders and it was really cool but I think I lost it now. I wish I could find it cause it would be something I could do with just a few minutes. Thanks for the idea, I'm gonna have to try that this summer when my life slows down a little.

Wow that would be easy. What a great way to start teaching my daughter to sew. Easiest project probably either blankets from fleece or pillows from those squares that all you do is sew three sides, stuff, then sew closed.

Pillows are super easy. I made one for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. Thats the only thing she will sleep on. She won't even use a regular pillow now. Its too funny.

I think pillows are the easiest. I make them all the time.

Well I am not very good at sewing. Although I do have a sewing machine, it mostly just sits in my closet. I have to say the easiest thing I have sewn was nap mat covers for my daycare. I bought a flat sheet at Walmart, folded it in half, sewed up the other side and the bottom. It was like a giant pillow case. I made 5 of them. They have held up really nice.

I was gonna make some of these for the kids in my class for their mats but never got around to it. The summer program at work I might do this for them and then the fall class I will do for them. I don't know how some of the kids lay on those mats they can't be comfy having that plastic smashed to their face.

fleece blankets are super easy to sew, simply sew on a satin binding. Also, things like aprons, napkins, and hair wraps are easy and take only 30 min to a few hours. check out sew simple magazine. issues 4 times a year

i love walking around walmart looking at their craft department i think the easiest thing that i ever made was a decorative pillow it was the size of a normal pillow and it had a white cremello merry go round horse on it and it was trimmed in a pale blue i think it only took me about three months to finish i also stitched together a stuffed teddy bear it was pretty easy and i really enjoy sewing stuffed animals this one only took me about one month to finish i gave it to my dogs when i was done with it

Well, that is just so good for you. I don't sew much and I haven't done any of that in along time.
