Cell Phone Help Please

I need some help. I have been with Verizon Wirless for 6 years now and as of Friday, I am shutting off my phone. I want to go with another service. What do you use and what do you recommend? I don't use it except when I go on trips. I don't need texting, pictures or games. IS there a phone and company you recommend that is just a great " general " phone? Any insight to this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I would say to ask around people in your area. In our town, Sprint service is totally horrible, where Cingular rocks. In LA, it was the total opposite. Check out the coverage maps when making this decision.

Ah ha.. Thanks. I will look into that. I hope some people can give me somo info on who they use though and if they are a good company to deal with. That way I can narrow it down from there and start going into the stores and deciding.!!!
