Being a Home and Garden Party Designer

I have just quit working outside my home and am trying to run a business selling Home and Garden Party products. My biggest problem is finding people who want to host home parties. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get better at this, or any ideas to try to get people to host home parties. tdbrower1969

Sales parties can sometimes be a tough sell. If you can talk a friend into hosting one, try to make a real party out of it. Offer a few inexpensive snacks and drinks and tell some jokes to start things off on a light note. You can find lots of jokes online. I realize the idea is to make money, not spend it on snacks, but a few bucks for snacks can make a big difference. It turns into a party atmosphere instead of feeling so pressured to buy something. When people see or hear that the parties are fun, they're usually more likely to host and attend. Who wouldn't like to get out of the house once in a while for a party? Good luck!

Thank you, this is what I am going to try. I have some party dip samples that we sell in the book and I am going to make all three of those for my next party. That way I am serving food and also promoting one of my products. I really enjoy doing the home parties, it is a great way to meet new people and to have a good night out. tdbrower1969

See how creative you are? That's a great idea! You might as well promote your products. You might just make extra sales that way. I know I hate to order food from catalogs or sales parties because I don't know if my family will like it, but letting people taste it is a great way to get them interested. Let us know how it's going. :o)
