capturing vhs tape to computer

I am converting my vhs tapes from analog to digital. I am doing via a dv camcorder as i find this gives me better quality image. The problem is that when the analog signal is sent via the camcorder to computer the sound is ahead of the picture, that is not in sync. what can I do to get them into sinc?
