I have never really had a problem with weight. But I did turn vegetarian over 9 years ago. I also do pilates and yoga 5 days a week. Pilates/Yoga aren't intense workouts but they do work your body! ;) What is your method?

I don't follow any diet but I am eating only when I am hungry. And I never eat too much but I eat anything I like doesn't metter the our. This is how I keep my shape. Once I was over 75 kgs and now I am about 55. I think it is fine with me and all I know it works for me. And I am too lazy to work out :(. But I feel good and I look good too. Maybe I am just lucky. But anytime I get the chance I walk a lot. You see... I still make some exercise.

Pilates - Pilates
I don't diet. I don't believe in diets. It's a lifestyle change. I've been a vegetarian for over 9 years and I also enjoy pilates and yoga. So I really try to take care of my body!

Food Optimising Food Optimising leads to weight-loss through a calorie-restricted diet. On the plan many foods, known as "free foods," which are judged to have a low calorie content for how filling they are or how nutritious they are, may be eaten in unrestricted amounts. Members are encouraged to eat four small portions per day of foods which are higher in calories, but which provide ample supplies of vitamins, minerals or dietary fibre. The Food Optimising plan classifies each day as an original (or red) day or a green day. Many foods are classified differently depending on whether it is a red or green day. The red day "free foods" include most fruits and vegetables, white fish, lean meats and eggs. The restricted "healthy extras" include milk, cheese, bread, grains, beans, potatoes and dried fruits.

It takes 3000 calories to make a pound. What I personally try to do is eat smaller meals. 4-6 smalls meals a day about every 4 to 6 hours. It keeps me from snacking and keeps me full. Also Keep a full glass or bottle of water around. Water is good for you. I try to get at least 30 minutes of exersise in, every other day and end up getting about that everyday because I clean the house and vaccum each day. You could even start with 10 minutes per day walking or jogging ect. If your too shy to go to the gym, you could get a treadmill new or used and what I do on the treadmill is mostly walk and do a little jogging. When I am walking, I take a good book or some of my study materials and read.:) One more thing, Don't fall into the trap of being obsessed by the scale and the numbers it shows. I did that once and could not stop looking. I would weight myself 3 times a day. Not anymore :) oh and set small goals and do not starve yourself! There, Im done and hope this can help someone.

In my opinion, the only way to lose weight is to exercise. Walk, job, ride a bicycle, go to the gym, swim - whatever you enjoy. In order to lose fat you must burn more calories than you take in. But your body must have the nutrients of the foods you eat to keep running healthy. Dieting is probably the worst thing you could do for your body to lose weight. This, of course, does not mean that you should eat anything and everything you want. You should always maintain a healthy diet; plenty of vegetables, fruits and whole grains and easy on the meat and dairy. And you should eat in moderation. You can't lose weight if you are overeating.

I try to watch what I eat, the best diet that I read about was the Abs diet, I was not able to follow the diet but it does a great job educating you on what to eat and what not to eat and how to really read food labels. So i highly recommend it. Using that knowledge, excercise (pilates, run/walk), eating better, drinking more water and milk. I have lost 20 lbs. It took me a year to lose that. When I get off track, I try not to beat myself up too much and try to remember that it took me years to get overweight and it could take years to take it off. Just get back on track!
