I often sit here getting a discussion ready, and think about what should I talk about? It must be like a pastor, or a teacher getting ready for the lesson of the week.
I often sit here getting a discussion ready, and think about what should I talk about? It must be like a pastor, or a teacher getting ready for the lesson of the week. I am a mother of 4 grown sons. I have been married over 40 years. I have owned my own business. I have travel all over the world. I took care of a bedridden mother. I was in a bad auto accident.I have been through some pretty rough times. I am all of you!! You have been there and done that. Mostly likely your story is as uplifting as I hope mine is.
But it wasn't until I came on My Lot that I had unlimited places, people and things at my finger tips. Then I began to "SEE" the world. I have had a new world open up to me. Everyday I have been invited into the homes and hearts of all of you. We have become a extended family. I have told you things I haven't been able to say out loud.
You have shared stories, jokes, bad times and dreams with me. Together we have made a difference in the world. We have started to show each other that we are the Kinder and Gentler people we were meant to be. . One person can make a difference. A whole bunch of people can chage the world.
I am proud of the people we are! It gives me great faith that we are caring, thoughtful, funny and hopeful about our lives. We may not live next door, but we live in the hearts of all of us. We are on the way to making this a grand place for our family and friends.CONGRATULATIONS for being the people you are and making me proud to call you friends!!!

Thank you I feel the same way. I have told people things I have not said to others often wondering if anyone from Merced is a member of mylot. Oh well if they are.
I have learned a lot of human nature and gotten a lot of different view points of subjects which is great.

I forgot to add the worst part of mylotters is not being able to have you all over for coffee.
Another part that is bad is everytime I get on my computer is my cat the one in my picture. She decides its time to sit on mom's lap. She loves to help me type. If she did not lay and purr so loudly I would not like it so much.

I like my lots there is adventure everyday ,I ve notice that my lot has change in some ways ,theres alot of really neat people here its different then the everyday world out there it is totally different.

what a wonderful post and so true we can enjoy the company even though we may be 100s of miles apart since joining my lot I often wondered how i ever did without it !I live alone and used to be lonely but now i can always find something here to respond to its like knowing all I have to do for company is just sign on !

Carolee, it is truly my pleasure to be able to call you friend.
We do get to see the world in here. The diversity of the population of myLot makes for a learning experience. It is seldom boring and usually refreshing to see different views from all over this earth.

Well said. Here in myLot, I find that I can express myself in ways that I'm afraid to verbally. In the physical world, the only friends I make are those who come to me. I'm not by any means the Forrest Gump sitting on a bench, chattering away to complete strangers. It's not in me.
Here, I can talk to anyone. Whether we will ever meet in person or not, we have met nonetheless. And I'm getting the human contact I know I should have. I have become a social person in a "virtual" world full of real people. Very happy to be here.

That was very nice! And very good to hear.. It's easy to hear negativity and criticism.. it seems to thrive in the world.. but beneath it all, as you have said, are some really great folks! None of us are perfect, but I think most people are pretty good eggs.. When I look at life, I personally don't know any bad apples!!
