Should best response marking should be allowed after recieving few answers

I am a newbie and wait for three days to mark best response. I think we should give chance to everybody to give responses and then decide which is best. There are people who are not regular as you and me and fail to response immediately to reply. I generally mark best response after I get some 7 to 10 responses for a discussion.

You are comparing the discussions with exams where two candidates are not allowed to see eachothers answers.But it is a discussion forum where we exchange views and opinions .If the other members are not allowed to view other responses then most of the responses will contain the same thing.Mylot wants the members to add something to the previous replies not just repeat the previous responses.For doing this it is neccessary for the responders to see and read the previous responses. Though many times most of us skip reponses if they very very large in number say for example 50+ and read onlu the first few and the reponses on the last page.But it is still better then not reading any response at all.

But i have seen many mylotters choosing best response only after they receive more replies to their topics say after some weeks only.very rarely only someone gets interested in marking some replies that are best.Hope your sugestion can also be agreed and well you can write this to mylot too.

For me choosing the best response do not need to meet to a certain number of responses as long as it carries or strikes what I wanted or had given a quality response no matter how short or long it is. Setting a minimum number of respondents per topic will result to many unresolved discussions.
