when you say sorry..for what you have done something wrong..or you have hurt any person......or you have realised your mistake.......
......I FEEL that the person should be forgiven for his mistake........if it is not so serious ....he should be given a chance to improve.......
if it is something very serious matter ,should he be punished........?
.........what do you say...

Well some acts are pardonable but all are not. As you rightly that it is the seriousness of the mistake which should be taken into consideration.
Some punishment is required so that person does not do the same mistake again.

The person should be sincere with his or her apologies. If not, then the person shouldn't be forgiven...
