Do you know what freecycling is? Have you joined your local freecycle sight? Freecycle....what is it? Don't have time for a yard sale? have items in your home that are not being used and maybe gathering dust out in the shed or in a closet somewhere? What is one man's trash can be another man's treasure....that's what freecycle is all about. You give away your unwanted items and you can also look for wanted items. No trades, no money, no bartering....FREE!! check to see if your area has a freecycle sight.... just go to freecycle.org/groups/ and click on country, from the next page you can continue to narrow your search to find your local chapter. Let me know if you find one....or if already signed up...what have you given away or searched for on freecycle? I use this sight to get rid of unwanted items that do not sell at a yard sale. I have pretty much given up donating because of the rise in prices in our local non-profit establishments. Even if the person who takes my item/s uses them to boost their bulk at a yard sale, I know it'll sell for less than what our local good will or salvation army will charge.

I love freecycle. I have picked up a lot of free furniture such as a couch, computer table and TV stand as well as other items as microwave, desktop computer and printer from other members. There are books that I got and sold in amazon.com. It's a great way to reduce waste and help others in need, too. I have given away baby clothes and accessories through the website. My husband has fun picking up stuff that I find, it's like treasure hunting to him.

Hi gabesmom, I love this sight. Here in our area, people have even been able to find cars, vans, computers,etc....so it's not just small ticket items that folks need or give away. It's anything and everything. I know do it yourself mechanics who use it to find hard to find items. And it's especially neat if you have kids that are in the growing stages....they grow so fast, it seems like every month you need another pair shoes or pants. With this sight, you can find clothes the same day. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't have a problem with using used items.
