I finally got around to watching this movie, after having it recommended to me for a while. I couldn't beleive how long it seemed, but in a way the slow movement added to how involved I got with the main character's plight. Part of what I really loved about this movie is that it's an idea I've had since I was a kid. I used to write and imagine actually meeting my characters, and saw them in my dreams telling me what should happen in their stories. So when I heard there was a movie like this, I was so excited, but also afraid it would be ruined by my expectations. I was almost a little disappointed when I found out what happened at the end, until that whole conversation between the professor and the author. I thought that scene was pure genius! Did anyone else really love this movie? And were you happy with the ending?

You didn't mention the movie title, but I think that is an excellent way to write a story. Imagine meeting the characters and having them tell you what should happen in the stories. That is brilliant, I think.

Oh, sorry, it's "Stranger Than Fiction"... I put the discussions under that category, so I didn't think to name the movie in the discussions itself. I'm sorry! It is very interesting!

I did like the movie. I was worried about all the hype (that it would be inaccurate)and I was actually putting off seeing it. One day a friend came over bearing a gift for me and it was Stranger Than Fiction on dvd. So we watched it and I don't know if it was at all what I thought it would be, but I enjoyed it. The concept was interesting and that is cool that you had dreams about your characters. That must have been awesome. The movie was a bit slow in parts, but when it was all over I think that it was well worth it.

It is a bit slow in parts. My husband was half-watching it while playing on the computer, and he kept complaining about it being slow. But I was so mesmerized I just didn't care!

I initially wanted to watch it because I like Will Ferrell, but it turned out a lot different than I expected. I think that he and Maggie Gyllenhal had a great chemistry and I really felt for the characters.

As good as it can be right now! I had a really good day today actually. A whole day off without having to go to the doctor... yay! =) I did really enjoy the movie. Funnily enough, when I mentioned it to the girl I thought told me she really liked it, I found out that I had misheard her, and actually she really hated it. But I'm so glad that I did hear it wrong, because otherwise I might never have watched this movie... and I really loved it!

I really liked that movie. I thought it was creative and well written. I also enjoyed the fact that the main artist on the soundtrack was Britt Daniel from Spoon, my favorite band.
