There have been many shows over the years that have had Witches, Wizards, Warlocks or magic in them. I've enjoyed many of them but I'm curious to know what shows others have liked. There are many from Bewitched up to Dresden Files as the most current that I know of. What ones have you watched and liked? Some of mine are: Bewitched Tucker's Witch (short lived but good) Charmed Buffy The Vampire Slayer Dresden Files I know there are more but I'm blanking on them at the moment. I hope you refresh my memory.

My favorite ones are Bewitched and of course - Charmed:) Charmed is one of my all time favorite shows. I didn't get into Buffy and I haven't seen Dresden Files but I seen a commercial for it the other day and it looks interesting. I also haven't seen the other you named. Another cute more of a kids show though is or was Sabrina the Teenage witch. I watched a few episodes of it when nothing else was on.

Dresden Files is really good. If you go to Sci-Fi.com and go under the tv show name they have the episodes there to watch. They just did the season finale so they might be in reruns as well. Hard to tell with Sci-Fi channel. They don't always show the reruns.

I used to love bewitched. The only others on your list I recognise are Charmed and Buffy, neither of which I have ever watched...I tried but they seemed very trite to me. I really liked Angel tho'....does that one count?

Of course Angel counts. They dealt with magic on there and some witches from time to time :) I loved Angel. It was a great show.

I would say that Bewitched was one of my favorite shows when I was growing up. I've never cared much for Charmed, but I think that is the actresses they had at first. I can't think of too many shows that have been about witches and warlocks and the such. But most movies on the subject I have enjoyed. I think there have been more movies and books about magic then t.v. shows.

I do agree there are more movies and books. I think because for a long time anything dealing with magic, unless it was a major comedy, like Bewitched, people weren't ready to handle. Now though they are coming out with more with a mix of comedy and drama so ther might be more in the future.

I'm a huge Bewitched fan. Elizabeth Montgomery was so good in that role and she and (the 1st) Darrin were the cutest couple! I also lovee Agnes Moorhead as Endora. That's a show that I still watch often- I even own a few seasons on DVD. I also loved the Archie's cartoon from the 70's with Sabrina the teenaged witch. I never got into the 90's version of that show with Melissa Joan Hart, but I loved the cartoon. Never watched Buffy or Charmed but my sisters are addicted to those shows!

OMG someone else who remembers the original cartoon. At least I'm not the only one. I loved it back then. It was a bit different then the 90's version but I liked that series as well. Both were very good but different. Agnes Moorehead as Endora was perfect. She was great in the role. I have to admit in the movie version Shirley MacLaine was ideal for playing her part. She resembled her in the movie. It was well done.

WiNX CluB? That's based on teenage fairies with magical powers,i don't see it,but my sis does and she loves it. I have even created a discussion about it but no one's there so i thought maybe that witchcraft shows weren't that popular. But it seems here that many people love it!!

I've never heard of it. Is it a show based out of your country or another? It sounds interesting and I'd like to see it. There do seem to be many who like these shows as well.

I haven't had a chance to watch Medium but I don't see why it shouldn't be included. I loved I Dream of Jeannie, another one that doesn't quite fit with witchcraft but does deal with magic so that works :)

I do have a problem with the shows that use Warlock as the Male form of the word Witch - not so bad when they use it as the 'Evil Dude' - since the word is derived from a Celtic word that means Oath Breaker. I've generally liked most of them - and I like Dresden but I'm afraid that Sci-fi has permanently pulled its plug. internet movie data base (imbd.com)has no new information for the 'next season' and neither does the sci-fi channel website. There is currently a petition to save the show on the book author's site, but we shall have to see.... I'll keep watching them as long as they don't get too crazed with what 'we' can do ;). I still remember that movie The Craft - and the hair color change scene - Don't I Wish!!!

Hehe oh I know talk about saying on hair dye if it would :) Oh I hope they do keep the Dresden Files. I really enjoyed it a lot. I do agree that Warlock isn't always the best word to use. Most today though do think of it as the male form of witch even if it's not correct.

Pentagram - The pentacle or pentagram
Ah happy memories of Bewitched. I like Buffy but not Charmed. I dream of Genie was another one and, of course, Sabrina. However there is one show that isn't actually on television, but was adapted from a book into a stage show - The Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett. Fantastic book, very very funny and well worth reading.

You forgot the light comedy "Sabrian the Teenage Witch" which is one of my top shows and now like the reruns. I dont even like "witch" stuff but that show rocked! Bewitched also funny. I guess when they get really seriou its kinda icky. Then again I love supernatural and that has something scary every week! :)) Plus two hot guys too *L* ;)

Heheh yeah Sabrina was cool. I loved Salem on it. He was cute and funny but I like cats. I think Supernatural would go in this because at times they do deal with the craft as well. I had forgotten about them.

My favorite I think is Charmed. I love the way the sisters interact. They behave like sisters so the show isn't disjointed. They craft they do appears real thanks to great special effects. Even the make-up and costuming of the demons is good. I also enjoy the differnt guest stars that show up. Everyone from Pat Benetar to Biily Zane. It made the show even more enjoyable. After that I like The Dresden files and of course Bewitched. Bewitched is a classic and got the whole "withcraft" iea started on T.V.

I agree Bewitched is a classic and it will always have a special place in my heart :) Oh I loved how the sisters interacted on Charmed. Anyone who has had a sister knows they acted like they were. It's one of the reasons I loved watching it.

Well you got Buffy but you forgot Angel. ;) Which is oneof my particular favourites. That shows got so many hilarious episodes. The puppet Smile Time, the... Iforget the name of the dimension Lorne's from, but the Dance of Joy was awesome. And anything with Illyria in it is just outright awesome.

Hehe I loved the puppet one. That was great. I would love to find one to buy of that. I also liked Lorne. He was awesome. Illyria was ok but I prefered having Fred on there. I didn't like that they killed her off.

I also like shows with the element of witch craft and magic in them. But nowadays you dont get to see many of them as reality shows hog up all the airtime, anyways some shows which had witchcraft and supernatural element that i really liked are : 1) Buffy the Vampire Slayer (guess we have that in common:) 2) Supernatural (not specifically about witchcraft but has certain episodes that are about it) 3)Bewitched!! Some of the movies that i liked regarding witchcraft are : 1) The craft 2) Blair witch project 3) The Skeleton key 4) Sleepy Hollow There are many more that i have seen but dont recall just like you!

Sounds like we have a lot in common. I didn't care for the Blair Witch but that's me. I haven't see THe Skeleton Key but I think I'll check into it. There are a lot more movies then there are shows on witchcraft. If you haven't seen it Practical Magic is quite good.

Tucker's Witch was a short lived TV show about a detective and his wife who was a witch. The Dresden Files is a tv show on the Sci-Fi channel. If you go to their website they did have an area where you could watch the episodes. They just finished season 1 a few weeks ago and I'm hoping they will have a season 2. I love the move The Craft. It was very well done.

Bewitched was the best. Charmed is a quite good also and a favorite as well. I especially love the episode when they found out the the baby has magical powers. I could never get into Buffy the Vampire Slayer for some reason, but that seemed to grow quite popular. There are quite a few movies that I enjoyed with witchcraft too.

Oh I loved the episode with Wyatt being born. Did you know the demoness that their father married was played by Cheryl Ladd, better known for her Charlie's Angels days. I liked seeing her on there. Amazing who would show up as a demon on it.

Ok time to throw a toughie in for all of you. My favorite show that involved magic was a short-lived show from the early 1980s called Wizards and Warriors. It was on CBS if memory serves me and was essentially based in a Dungeons and Dragons kind of world. The cast was incredible including.. Jeff Conaway (Taxi) as good prince Greystone Duncan Regher (Zorro, V) as evil Prince Blackpool Randi Brooks (Man with 2 Brains, Hamburger) as wicked (and woof her costume was wicked) witch Bethel Julia Duffy (Newhart) as the spoiled princes (and plays the role exactly like her Stephanie character on Newhart). The entire series was very tongue in cheek, lots of laughs and a cast that was having fun. Typical line, Greystone's older brother explaning to a general why he doesn't fight in the war... "y'see Dave, I figured out your chances of getting killed in battle are a LOT less if you never go into battle...simple mathematics, Dave."

I don't remember that one sorry. I do remember a made for tv movie called "Mazes and Monsters" with a very young Tom Hanks and it was about Dungeons and Dragons but wasn't a series. This other sounds good though. I probably would have liked it.

I remember Mazes and Monsters. The only thing monstrous about it was their portrayal of the gaming community. As if we were all about to run off into caves convinced that the fantasy was real...yeesh.
