Never knew why kids do that, but i have seen many kids who always want their parents to carry them here and there. They never stay at one place and play with toys. They start crying when we leave the place, and will stop crying as soon as we go to them. Guess the kids would be expecting some one around them since they might be feeling lonely.

My opinion would be that your baby loves effection and is really close to you and feels safe being close to you.

When a baby is less than 9 months old, It is best to put one of your clothes with your scent on it. babies at very young age have a strong sense of smell. This should keep your baby to stop crying.

Everyone would prefer to be cuddled then to sit by themselves if given a choice even adults so it is no wonder little one's love to be cuddled . You little one is used to you holding him or her and loves to be with you . The world is a big scary place and you are a comfort and just like anyone else in life , a child would love to be comforted all day . Unfortunately as parents we are not able to just sit down and cuddle all the time so just do the best you can . Your child will begin to realize when he/she gets older that you are always there but that sometimes you can't stop to hold him/her and will find better way to amuse him/herself . Many people will tell you that this means you have a spoiled child but I do not agree with this . It must be boring for them when they can't communicate as well and need to depend on us for so much that when they are held it is something that makes them feel good and as with anything in life we would rather do something we know we like then to try something else that we know is not as fun or interesting . I have always felt that they are only little for so long and figure that if you have the time that we should take it to hold them now as one day they will be too big and will not want to be held as they will be so much more independent and if that means spoiling them by holding them to much when they are little then so be it . It can get tiring when your little one is always crying to be picked up but try to take each moment at a time and try to enjoy the time you have now as one day you will look back and your baby will no longer be a little one to hold but an individual with his or her own thoughts that will not necessarily agree with yours :) Best of luck !!

yes, i agree with you, and sometimes i feel guilty because everyday i have work to do, and so my baby thinks that i am going away from him again, that is why he want to be cuddled by me. i must admit i have limited time for my baby as i am a working mother and the sole responsible for all the expenses and bills of the family, as my husband lost his job,but finding new one. thank you so much, you enlightened me.
