Here's my experience: ** With my first son, I put on 72 lbs. and it took six months to return to my pre-pregnancy weight. ** With my second son, I put on 60 lbs. and it took eight months to return to my pre-pregnancy weight. Things that helped me lose the weight: (1) I didn't diet or deprive AT ALL. I was nursing (twenty-four months with my first, sixteen months with my second) and that burned a lot of caleries and forced me to eat healthy for a long period of time so they received the most health benefits as possible. (2) I used my babies as weights! :) I did aerobics using them as the resistence, I carried them around considerably so I was constantly working my upper body and abs, and I walked for at least one hour while pushing the stroller per day. (3) Water, water and more water. I increased my water intake during all the nursing and activity, which curbed my cravings for sugar and salt. I was impatient and wanted the weight to come off sooner, but I had to be patient and realized that - it took 40 weeks to add the weight, so I couldn't expect it to come off much quicker than that and still be healthy.

First, don't starve yourself. That will put your body into starvation mode so when you do eat, it will store even more fat. I know it's hard to lose the weight, I've lost over 50 pounds, but most of it came off once my son was active, running, and I had to chase him. I also have added a lot more fiber to my diet. It fills me up so I'm not hungry all the time, and we all know that fiber will umm "clear us" lol. Good luck!

I did weight watchers. They had someone come in and have meeting where i was working...but they also have meetings in local churches and stuff. you can go to their website and find a local meeting or you can join and follow the program online. www.weightwatchers.com its really easy to follow. they have 2 different programs. i did the point system. you can eat whatever you want, you just have to stay within your amount of points for the day. I lost 25lbs in 12 weeks and i didn't exercise at all. Heck i spent a good bit of my evening on the computer lol. I'm pregnant now and as soon as i have the baby i'm going back on it to lose all of the weight for good.
