how many languages do you speak? basic skills or fluently? i think today its one of the most important thing (besides having computerskills) to get a good job that you speak not only one language. i speak portuguese (motherlanguage), some english, a little bit german. and would be excited to learn chinese, but i think i am too stupid for this.

i speak 3 - 4 languages only.. and i thik it's not enough if i want to compare with my friends.. they do know more languages than me.. and.. language is a very important medium of communication.. do you agree? firstly, i want to learn chinese.. because i think china population is very big.. and i think most of the people there can commmunicate in chinese.. somehow.. it will prepare me for the future just incase china become the next superpower.. right? second, i would like to learn france language.. i like the sound and pronounciation of each words in that language.. it's very unique.. and i do like their hand expression while speaking that language.. i used to see it from television:) .. i think there's no harm in learning more languages.. it's always beneficial to businessman.. haha

i agree with you that learning chinese will be rather important for the future. The economy there grows very much and its simple impossible to ignore o population of over 1000 million people. I also think that french is one of the most beautiful languages, very musicaly and soft and very, very sexy. right?

There are many dialects in China, and i can speak two of them,of course,i can speak mandarin fluently, because it's our mother tongue.Besides,i can speak English, but not very fluently. Now i am learning japanese ,i find that it's easier for Chinese people to learn. And i am going to learn French in the near future.Even though it's a little complecated to learn Chinese,as long as you want to learn ,nothing impossible. In China, there are also some foreigners who can speak Chinese.

I can speak Tagalog and English fluently. I think learning to speak several languages is not important as long as you know how to speak English, you'll be great, because English is considered as the International language if I am not mistaken.
