I've always been taught that combing or brushing your hair in public is bad. The elders have always taught me that brushing your hair in public is just like brushing your teeth in public! I see so many people doing it! Is it, really?

Sure, but it depends on where in public. For example, if you are standing outside a building, then it is OK to compb your hair. But if your in a store or restaurant I think you should go to the bathroom to comb your hair.

I really dont mind people combing there hair in public, sometimes your hair gets wind blown fron the car ride so I think you should comb it before you go into the restraunt or shoping center or wherever you are going. The thing I dont like is someone combing there hair at the kitchen or restraunt table to me that is tacky.

If you comb your hair in public and someone asks you to stop it then do so but if nobody says anything then why should you care what other people think?

I think public here would be in places outside the bathroom... like in restaurants, in buses, in the office or places like that.

i seen not only hair treatment in the public but manicure and pedicure in a open restaurant karoke bar..while i was eating..i was going to have this done and my wife told me not to as the instruments have not been sanitized as she took a course in this at the local college..of beauty...so i took her advice...it is not sanitary but people do a lot of stuff that is not right.. i don't like to see people jump in a hot tub if they have not showered/with soad and rinsed off their make up and body oils and sweat..it is not good to soak in this filth even with chlorine treatmet... but I have seen people floss in public and brush their teeth in the public comfort room..i guess it is all in your upbrining and common sense....picking your teeth is uncool...i seen this done after a meal..and it was done by a lady who thought she was so special..the people used to call her "MADAME" but i think they were just mocking her behind her back..she always told the ladies her bag/purse must match her outfit..etc etc..then she was always asking people if they wash their hands after going to the comfort room...duh? I just looke at her and shook my head...

i dont think it is that bad...its more embarrasing for someone to be in public without grooming first but still it is preferred by most to do it not in public.you should do it before you go out in public...

Diet and environment can contribute to damaged looking hair. Also all the things people do to their hair can damage it too. Like using hair dryers, hot rollers, curling irons, all the styling products people put in their hair can damage it too. I don't believe that you can damage your hair by washing it too much unless you are not using the proper products for your hair type.I have read in a newspaper that regular cleansing of hair is necessary for them to be in the good condition and scalp protection as well. My hairs are long and i need to shampoo them at least thrice a week. I don't like to have a head bath since it consumes more time, but it is inevitable if you want strong and thick hairs.
