Do you IM friends or just use email?

Instant messaging is so much easier for me. Regular email is fine for passing along info. But IM is instant. I much prefer that.

I prefer to instant message if I can. Most of my friends have MSN or AIM. A couple have yahoo but it now works with MSN so it works out well. I do have some though that don't have messengers :( those I have to email but for the most part I'd rather talk with them. It's a lot easier and faster to get an answer, to give an answer or to explain something, especially the explaining something. IMing is a lot better if you have to take someone through a step by step explaination.

When I had my own computer at home with an internet connection I spent more time on instant messanger. Now I usually send e-mails, but even more than that, I send messages and comments through MySpace.

I just got a new computer last week and I found that I don't have to log into my IM, that it automatically logs me in when I go online. So now I have these little messages popping up telling me someone has logged on. Yesterday I responded to two of those and got hung up in conversations. It kept me from doing anything else. I had to make phony excuses to end the conversation. I would rather not use it. I much prefer email.

I'm always logged to my IMs, so when I want to talk with a friend, I use this medium. But, if he isn't online, I will send him a email or call him.

I use instant messaging more, since it's more convenient and there's fast interactions between two people right? and for messengers like yahoo messenger, there's this doodle imvironment which makes it really easy to write stuff that can't be typed...hehe...i love messengers!! though i have this friend who for some reason likes using email and even for really short stuff..haha

I use instant messaging every day because you can have conversations with loads of mates but also you can have private ones, although email is useful because not every one you want to speak to is always online to so therefore you have to send them an email, they are both amazing considering you can speak across the world or country for free.

I use e-mail simply because none of my friends have instant messenging! Or else they have it but they're never on... so... e-mail it is! However it does the rare instant message chats I do have all the more enjoyable, to say the least!
