Steven spielberg or James cameroon?

Both good directors in their own right. Speilburg has had some cult classics like ET, Juraissic Park, Indiana Jones and Jaws. Cameron has had like three hits, Terminator, Aliens and Titanic. Speilburg has also had some very powerful movies like Shindler's list, Munich, the Color Purple. Granted he's also had some flops like AI and War of the Worlds. But such feel good movies like the Terminal. As a director, Cameron's list is short. So my nod goes to Speilburg. There is just no comparing the two.

pretty difficult to answer who is the best! i think both are best in their own way. and, only the best and talented would work in hollywood, i guess. so, i give equal ratings to both of them.

I think they are both great directors and both great at what they do. But in my opinion I think Steven Spielburg is better. He has a lot of great movies that really catch my attention

Who is James Cameroon? Steven Spielberg is the greatest of all time, in my opinion. E.T., alone makes him heads and tails above the rest. I don't think anything he has ever done is a flop. The anamaniacs was also a vey unique hit. Then there are the hits that I have never seen. Shindler's List is one of them. I saw Empire Of The Sun, I believe that was one of his. He's just good. He is one of those people that when I hear his name mentioned, I know I wont be disappointed.

I think Steven Spielberg is any day better than James Cameron. James Cameron is a showman much like our Subhash Ghai and makes movies that are larger than life. Steven Speilberg on the other hand is more than just a showman and brings substance to his movies. His eye for perfectness is too great and that's what makes him the best in the business. Cheers!
