How can you say "I'm over him/her?"

When can you really say you are over someone? I had feelings for this guy I met last year but just when things started to get better, he suddenly veered away from me. I've had a relationship with another guy after that, but it didn't work out just the same. Now this guy (the former) still communicates with me, sharing his problems about the girls he's eyeing. Sometimes I can't avoid being jealous. Does that mean I'm not over him yet?

Sometimes you can't forget the feelings you have for that person especially if you had really loved them. You just get used to the fact that they are not there anymore. But there are also instances where you confuse love with wants only. You should really think about that so you wouldn't make a mistake in choosing a person you want to have a commitment with.

I agree...although for some, it does take time for them to get used to the other person's absence. Thanks!

I guess that's how it is.. I think you are really over him and have not one single pinch of feelings left then you wouldn't feel jealous over the other girl he's eyeing on.. I can say I'm over the person if I could think of him less or better yet he never runs through my mind again.. If I see him around, I wouldn't get excited over it and I would probably walk pass through him. I would see him as a person as part of the crowd and not the one that would stand out and catch my attention.

As long as your world doesnt revolve around that person anymore, as long as you dont miss him anymore, as long as you are not thinking abut him anymore that means that you are over him. Being a little jealous is but a natural thing and that doesnt mean you still love him

Yeah...as long as I'm not attached to the thought of having him. I guess I just care for him. Thanks!
