1. When the young complain to you about the old and the old complain to you about the young -- you're middle-aged.
2. Middle age is when the cheery physician stops asking, "How's the old girl?" and begins inquiring, "Well, how's the young lady?"
3. Most people don't think they're middle-aged until they're not.

mmmm...techically speaking middle age would be about 40--no?? since most people live to about 80...so since I'm 51,I guess that makes me "old"??? LOL

"Old at 20" How true. My older sister became middle-aged the day after her wedding, I think.

Terrifying..LOL....but by numerical age I'm 51..inwardly I'm still a kid..and I guess that's what counts and keeps one young at heart..lets face it..some people are "old" at twenty!

I am not exactly sure how middle age is determined, my body feels like 80 or so and my mind is still quick enough for a 10 year old, so if you average that out it would be 45, so I'm afraid I am beyond middle age no matter how the cookie crumbles...lol

Well, at 55 I guess I am middle-aged. I don't want to be, but my body has other ideas, unfortunately.
