have you experienced walking somewhere when suddenly, you saw someone wearing the same clothes you are wearing that same day, too? it happened to me one day. and i did not mind it at all. i just walked straight.. head's up as if i never saw her anyway. there are people who are affected by such scenes. they even hide so as not to come across that person wearing the same clothes like they have. so, what do you usually do? happy myLotting!

There's a teller who works at the downtown branch of the same bank I work for who owns a sweater that's exactly like one that I own. I rarely work at that branch, but once in a while I fill in there, or go there for meetings. Every single time I go there wearing that sweater, she has it on too! We get quite a laugh out of it. Working at a place where I have to dress up in a small town with few stores, my coworkers and I often have similar clothing, or even exactly the same clothing. We laugh about it instead of worrying though. I think it's silly to be embarressed or annoyed if someone has the same clothes as you!

You may find it as a compliment. You have the same taste, meaning you can be compatible friends.

I have not run across someone who was wearing the exact same clothes as me at the exact same time. But if I did I would probably just do a double take and be like wow that's weird. But it would not bother me in the least.

If someone wears the same outfit like me,I go home, change the outfit and don't wear anymore that outfit...The most important thing at my outfits is to be original.

This has happened to me a lot of times already. What I would do is, I will smile at the person to see if she finds it curious or okay or shameful. If she is a friend, I will give her some greetings followed by a remark as to the clothes we are wearing. What we are wearing can be a good start up for a conversation, too, right?

good thing is that it can even start a frienship. hehe. we smile and some people talk to each other about the same outfits they are wearing... like where did they get it? how much and so on..

This is a funny subject. I've actually seen someone wearing the same tracksuit bottoms and shirt (being the exact same england shirt as mine) well the old 2002 one. I'm not really bothered, I'll continue doing what I'm doing I do find it funny though. ~Joey

I don't normally do anything, I mean I am bound to run across someone someone sometime because they sell the same clothes I buy to other people. I wouldn't know why someone would hide. They should like that they aren't the only one who picked out that so and so outfit. I see clothes my mom wears more then mine becuase she is smaller and so more people buy her sort of clothes. She doesn't dress her age either. Some people have even been known to walk up and say nice outfit..lol me I do as you do. Well happy posting.~becca

When this happened to me, I just went up to the person and smiled and told them how much I really liked their outfit. We both had a good laugh over it.

It wouldn't bother me lol. I used to wear Arabic dresses, which most of the women usd to wear the same when I was in Egypt. I actually felt really comfortable that I didn't have to make that strange kind of effort to try and compete or be something lol.

i do get affected by other people wearing at the same time the same clothes that i am wearing but only when i am in a party or in a special occasion. so that would mean a dress or a gown. i get affected with it because for me, everybody is supposed to be special on special occasions and every single one should exude a genuinely unique personality to be noticed. and apparently, if somebody else is wearing the same dress that you are sporting, then that would be like spoiling your mojo. but with everyday clothes though...i think i am more forgiving. apparels in stores, especially those that can be ordered through catalogs are the most common things that can be "accidentally" worn by the public at the same time. hahhhhaha. it's kinda funny sitting with somebody in a cab who wears the same shirt of blouse that you are also wearing. so to prevent this from happening, i ask the store attendant whether such item has multiple copies. BUT! if the item is such a dear, other people can't stop me from wearing it.

I think I have experienced that same incident as well but with different color of top. I find it really funny cause you both look as if you're gonna dance or something. I usually dislike that type of scenarios to happen to me as much as possible because I know I'd feel really shy about it. I admit that I really get affected cause I find it too awkward to be seeing someone with the same shirt/top that you are wearing. But when that happens, I know that I'd just pretend that I didn't see it, walk straight with my head up, and just go the other way if she's heading towards my path.

Though this type of thing doesn't happened me yet. If it happens I would like to make friendship with him. It's because we may have same choices as we have chosen same dress, colour and design. It will be interesting to shake hands with him have some tea party in a restaurant siting both front to front.

Nothing you can do if you see someone wearing the same thing, but I do everything in my life to make sure that what I wear no one else is wearing it, it if not the fact that I think they look better than me in the outfit I just would rather wear something that nobody else wears, with that said I only buy my clothes on myLot and I try to buy things that are either in Europe or far away from me that way I know they didn't get it at the local department store.

That happend to me with my friends. We both bought top separetly and after wearing it became to know that she also has the same top and with same color not only the style. So we decided to wear that top to the same place together. It was fun.

oh I don't mind about this very much...when we buy something we are perfectly aware of the fact that this is not unique..so why should we disappointed when meeting someone with the same clothes as ours? I keep telling myself and others that my clothes are not unique, but I am..so I think that it is the person under the clothes that really makes a difference!!! Having a bit of sense of humour can help in this situation even though you are dressed up for a smart event and the woman near you wears the same clothes you chosed...Maybe you can notice that she has a true good taste seeing what she decided to wear!!! when being at high school, one day my favourite friend and I went to school dressed in the same identical manner...we were not aware we bought the same match of clothes...we laughed so much than afterwards we decided to do this on purpose!!!!

yup. sense of humor is really necessary to keep our cool. better to laugh at such circumstances rather than be bugged about it. and yup.. why not wear identically with friends? could be fun!

This is not a rare instance. It happened to me already and I didn't mind because of course people will tend to buy clothes exactly the same as yours unless you have a made to order clothes which are definitely expensive. For others, like what you've said, this is a big deal. I don't really care if others have the same clothes as I am. At least I know there are others out there who have the same tastes as me.
