Do you like to cook alone or in a group?

I would choose to cook in a group. Why? Because it would get more done and plus, i'm not really a good cook anyways. Some people like to cook alone because it gives them their privacy. So, do you like to cook alone or in a group? Why?

Hi reaperz. I love to cook with my husband or children or if I really have to cook with others its got to be someone that wont get in my way and make muckery of things. I do enjoy and prefer cooking on my own though, I feel more organised and know what Im doing, as groups over crowd my space and change my ideas lol.

I never really cook in a group and not sure if I'd like it but I do like to have someone keep me company or help a little on occasion. Usually, though, I end up cooking alone.

I would prefer to cook with someone . I don't enjoy cooking and don't consider myself a good cook so feel inadequate when I have to make something for someone else . I don't mind cooking for my family as they are used to my cooking but I don't enjoy doing it anymore then if I had to do it with someone else . I find that if there are more of you it gets done quicker and it is always more interesting to do somesthing with someone else rather then by yourself . You have more people to help so it gets done faster and some people actually enjoy cooking and so I find their food usually taste better because they have more confidence in what they are doing so the meal ends up better tasting :)

I think I would want to cook alone, or with one other person. There is an expression..."Too many cooks can spoil the soup". I think having too many people in the kitchen (or any other situation) can make things too complicated. When cooking everyone has a slightly differnt way of doing the same thing. Cooking with a group you might have too many differing opinions in the kitchen and this could slow or stop the process. Since I like cooking, I do't mind cooking alone, but having another person to help is always nice. Especially if they will do the jobs I don't like...Like chopping onions! :-)

I prefer to cook alone. I dont mind when my husband and I cook together occasionally, but I like doing things my way. He also dirties alot of dishes when he cooks. I let my step-daughter help once in awhile but not very often.

Actually, that is a pretty good question. I myself would rather fly solo in the kitchen. I just feel like I can get things done easier that way. I actually find it relaxing sometimes. I like to try different recipes sometimes and I can think better when I am alone. But, to each his own. If you would like to cook within a group than everybody has their own prerogative.

I think I prefer to cook alone just because, when I'm in a group, I feel like someone is always watching over my shoulder.

I like to cook alone most of the time. I do enjoy cooking with my hubby on the weekends though, because we usually bbq, and he does the bbq and I do the other stuff. We really enjoy just spending the time together. Cooking alone for me though, is one way, that I experiment, get creative without critism, and it also just lets me zone out and think. Good post.

I prefer to cook FOR a group. I can't cook little meals. I cook big meals that could feed an army and only over an open fire otherwise I won't bother.
