Internet Explorer 7.. is it safe enough?

Hi there! recently i've read some article that says that Internet Explorer 7 is still not safe enough.. Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 offers significant security improvements over its deservedly criticized predecessor. But the new IE still does not do enough to protect users. Microsoft has, in IE 7, locked down some of the problem areas in IE 6. The browser will permit a Web site to nag you only once about installing an ActiveX control, for instance. (Some users will approve an installation simply to get rid of the pop-up windows.) But malicious scripting attacks remain a big problem. Some miscreant Web sites use scripting code (such as JavaScript) to exploit security holes. This can allow them to perform drive-by installations of spyware or Trojan horse programs. IE 7 has a host of features designed to thwart exploits, including showing a pop-up warning that lets the user know when a site is trying to use scripting. But the new features don't go far enough. so what do you think? is safe enough? i prefer using firefox or opera than using IE..

Hi, yes, there is still no assurance in IE7, though it was already upgraded. I prefer to use mozilla or opera if you want to be safe while surfing the net. It blocks pop-ups which is very good. Currently, I am using opera as my main browser. Have a nice day and God speed!

No Microsoft Product is safe I think thats what they want so they can sell you more things. I use Firefox and feel pretty safe using it but you are never safe online anyway LoL. So Im gonna stick with Firefox or opera which is another Browser.

I have downloaded and been using Internet Explorer 7 for the past few months and have not seen any porblmes in it so far. I like the feature it has that you can pull up many different windows at the same time only user one browser.

Microsoft =/= safe. That's the reality. Microsoft is the big fish and so, almost everyone who search for a security breach is going to design a malware to attack Microsoft programs/system. That's for sure. Opera and FireFox rock.
