Well, I am sorry I have no solution for you. But I do have a simple fact about head lice that I would like to share, did you know, the more often you wash your hair, the more prone you are to getting headlice. Amazing, little head lice enjoy smooth, silky, fresh clean hair better then the latter, unclean and ungroomed.

I have never had them, myself. But my kids would come home with them when they would visit a certain friend's house. They are very annoying to deal with, and a royal pain to get rid of sometimes. If you can, you need to get to a store or pharmacy that carries lice shampoo, as well as lice spray for your furniture. Those are the best to use to get rid of the pesky critters, because if you're not careful, they will infest your home. If you can't get those products, try drying your hair with a hair dryer on high heat for at least 45 minutes. The heat will kill them. You also need to wash bed clothes, and all of everyone's garments in hot water, and dry them in a dryer on the highest heat. And make sure that you soak all combs and brushes in hot hot water. I hope these suggestions help you hon. Those critters are just plain icky and aggravating, aren't they? Good luck, and take care sweetie.

Oh Cherriemae I feel for you that is the worst. Noni Juice will kill them, if you don't want to use toxic chemicals to kill them. They also sell lice combs and egg gel. Wash you hair in the Noni, then in a few days do it again. Get a nit comb and the nits should come out.

go to your pharmacy and ask what is good for head lice. I never had it so I really do not know what to do for it.

Yup, use to get it when I was young and even when I was around 25/26 - sharing a brush with a friend at the gym (hadn't realised she had lice). There are certain types of shampoos that you can buy especially for getting rid of/killing off lice - I don't know the names but I know there are some out there! Check online or ask your pharmacist for help.

I think majority of kids here in our tropical country have experienced like the way you did.Lice often grows and multiply fast especially sunny season.I remember this when I was a child and I really hate these flies and I always changes my shampoo until it was gone all the way.

I had lice before..my kids had brought them home from school...it is an absolute pain in the behind to get rid off..you will need to get the medicated lice shampoo..what kills them off and also kills the eggs....I think, after a week you will have to repeat the whole thing again....

Oh no this is not the reason you ended up with head lice, yes it would be due to you sharing a comb that belonged to your niece that had lice that caused the lice to come to your hair you should only use your own comb or brush for your own hair even when I go out I take mine with me always. You say that you need a remedy well I already sent one out a couple of days ago but you must not have read it otherwise you would of known how to treat head lice.

I hate that crap. They have the shampoo. I never had to deal with it without some help. I havent had it for years my mom helped me when I was younger and such. Always recall: never share a brush. Its a top way to get it. Its also iffy trying on hats that others used especially like at a store. They are nasty and to think a bug in your hair. All I can say is I feel for dogs and cats everywhere when they get fleas!

You need to use special shampoo to get rid of the lice... And I suggest buying a special nit comb to get the eggs out... And for good measure, wash your hair in whiskey or strong drinkable spirit (so not white spirits or anything too strong or else .. bye bye to your hair).

Ugh, Head lice are horrible things! You can't get them from changing your shampoo, and switching back to the old one will not get rid of them, you must have gotten them from your Niece. You need to get a special medicated shampoo specially for head lice and a head lice comb to get rid of them. Make sure you wash ALL your bedding and your niece's bedding if she stays at your home. Also, if you can, look for shampoo that has Tea Tree Oil in it, lice hate tea tree oil. You should let your niece's mother know that she has head lice, so that she can also be treated for them.

My wife had gotten them twice this year and they drove her crazy. What you need it to get a lice treatment shampoo like RID. And then go through your hair very thoroughly with a lice comb to remove any nits and their eggs then you will have to repeat the treatment in 7 days.

holy smokes I'd be scared if I felt some creepy little jibbers run up my back. I'd stop using the shampoo in an instant! Or I'd stop doing anything that has to do with it..

yup. when i was a kid. i guess when i was in grades 1 up to 4. usually, my friends and neighbors' kids have lice and while playing, they are passed on to me. and i hate having it! so itchy and i feel so uncomfortable. and so, my mom bought me an anti lice shampoo (medicare back then was the name) and it truly worked. eversince i was a kid, i was trained to never share comb with anyone. even my brothers and i have our own combs. hehe. and i don't let my friends borrow mine, too. anyway, i hope your lice go away soon. so you can feel comfortable, too. take care...

What you do is First Get the Lice Shampoo Nix is the best, Then you get the Lice Combs, before you rinse out the shampoo comb through the entire head with the lice combs to carefully comb out all the bugs, Wait 14 days or the amount of time in between uses the shampoo saids. Get Rid Spray... Spray your rugs, Your furnature. Put one cap of Lysol, and Wash every article of clothing on Hot Hot, and what you can not wash. Double Bag it and put it into the basement or a cool garage for 30 days.... The Best place to get the lice shampoo is from your local doctor... They can look at it and prescribe or tell you the right kind for the type of lice that you have. There is more than one variation of Headline. If you have pets be sure to treat them with something that kills lice as well, althought lice do not technically live on animals it does not mean they are not crawling around waiting to leap back to a person. They can jump three feet, So people can get lice from just walking past a person who has them unknowingly and this take 2-3 weeks to hatch, and 30 days before they reach their adult stage. Another thing to do in between treatments I have witnessed as being very effective. Is you put one small capfull of 100% pure tea tree oil into your shampoo, and stir it around ... This will help prevent reinfestation, and it helps run off extra bugs out of your hair... The Bugs are the easiest part to get rid of the hard one is to be sure to Pull out every tiny little egg... With a Lice comb, It is good to get a pail of water.. put a little lysol in there. have another pail of just water.. Dip the brush to rinse the lysol off in the one, and bugs off in the other... Comb through your hair daily. Everyone's head in the entire family needs to be checked and treated... I hope this helps. - DNatureofDTrain

Try buying a lice comb or 'suyod' in tagalog, put oil on your scalp & hair before combing your hair using the lice comb. Do this every day until you can't get any lice on the comb.

That must be awful. It's pretty hot in the Philippines maybe that's why you've gotten those. You know what they say when as kids we would stay out in the sun too much, that we will have lice. Or maybe you got it from your niece whom you're sharing a comb with. Children get easily contaminated with these parasites through their playmates or because they stay out too much. Anyways, there are herbal and natural shampoos for that available in the groceries now. If I remember it right, it's Quassinoids. Just shampoo your hair often and use a nit comb to rid your hair of those. My mom treated my hair when I was young with Quell. There are no other alternatives then, and I'm really glad that they have a safer shampoo now. :)

Lice is very hard to get rid of. It is a good policy to not use other peoples brushes and combs, even family. You most likely got the lice from your niece. Never share hats, combs, brushes, anything like that with anyone. That is the easiest way to get lice and keep transferring it back and forth. The shampoo you are using is not the cause. Lice is a small parasite/bug that lives off of the follicles in your hair. They lay eggs on the hair shaft and have an incubation period of 2 weeks. It is necessary to use a lice shampoo like RID to help kill the live ones and then you have to remove the eggs from your hair with a special lice comb. You should repeat the combing every day and check often. Then in two weeks, I would repeat the lice shampoo and combing again. You will also want to take all of your bedding, stuffed animals, and so on and dry them in the dryer for at least 20 minutes on highest heat. You should do this very often until you get rid of the lice. If you don't it will be very possible that you will just keep transferring them indefinitely. I wish you the best of luck! I have been through this lice nightmare with my daughter and it is a long drawn out process!
