I have a niece who is 13 years old. She cant eat without a fork and spoon. One time, she make her mother so angry because, at that time, we are in the beach and they forgot to bring a fork and spoon. My niece didnt eat until they arrive home. Me, i can eat either with or without spoon or fork. Because, actually i love to use my hands to eat than to use utensils. Except if i want to sip a soup. How about you? Can you eat with or without this utensils???

I always use a spoon and a fork when I eat outside the house, like in a restaurant or something. Especially when I'm attending a formal occassion, or when I'm with people I'm not comfortable with yet, or people that I don't know. Oh yeah, I also use spoon and fork when my hands are dirty, and there isn't any wash area. I often use a spoon and fork at home too, just like the rest of my family. But sometimes when the meal would include chicken, I would use my hands to eat them. I would also sometimes forego the utensils when I'm eating shrimps, fish, or other stuff that can be easier eaten using your bare hands. I also use my hands when I'm eating chips (junk food!). Of course, most people would think "Of course, you use your hands to eat chips!" But my Mom has this habit which I find weird. She would eat chips using a fork or a spoon and I just find that very unusual. Don't you think?

Generally I never use spoon & fork for eating. It is so hard to realize the real test, feelings of eating without using hand. And I think it is better to use hand for eating rather than spoon & fork except any special reason.Of course that will be a good practice.

What I used during meal depends on the food that I am eating. I would use a spoon if I am eating a soupy dish. A fork for the noodles. Fork and knife for the steak. Hands for crabs. Those are some examples. I do not have problem with or without the utensils.

When i was young, I usually eat with my hands. Of course i wash my hands and soap it before i eat the food. Now that i am a grown up, I usually use fork and spoon and a knife too when i eat steak. Nowadays, i only use my hands when i eat red crabs and when the viand is fried fish. I have also learned to use chopstick when i went to Japan. Now i use them when i feel like eating japanese food.Goodluck!

it all depends on where i'm and what i'm eating, if i am at a public place or at some kind of special occasion then i have my utmost table manners but if i am at home it doesn't really matter i eat with my hands for the most part just depends on the food if its chicken or something fried then without a doubt my hands but if your talking about pasta or something extremely messy then i eat with a fork but i rarely ever use a spoon unless if it is for soup

I can do both, with and without. It sometimes depend on the occasion, if I'm at formal gatherings then it's best to use them of course. If at the beach I prefer to use my hands. Depends on what I'm eating too, there are foods that are best eaten using spoon and fork, and foods like crabs and lobsters are best eaten using the hands.

table mannaers - different table manners at home and public areas.
Hello, gwapako,of course i will not use spoon and fork everytime, I will have different eating manners at home and in the public area. If i am eating a pizza at home, probably i will use bare hands to eat, if i am eating in a restaurant, i will use a fork and knife to slice it into pieces. But I think i will use spoon to have soup all the time.
