Do you think Tom Welling is too old for the role of Clark Kent?

When Smallville started, Welling was already in his twenties and doing modeling when he got the part to play the teenage Clark Kent. I know it doesn't really matter as long as the acting was effective, but it's nice to know people's opinion about this.

I don't think that he's too old for the role. I think that it even became more believable that he is what he's supposed age is in the recent season because he's supposed to be about 20 yrs old now in season 6, right? Even though he's almost 30 or something, he still has the physical features of a twenty-something. :) but in the first season, seriously, I never believed that he is a freshman in high school. all of them looked really old. if they told me that they're college freshmen, I would've believed them. But right now, I think all of them are doing pretty well portraying their age so it's all good. :)

No I don't think so. They all do a great job on their part and look like the age they are supposed to show. But I have heard quite a few people say that Clark doesn't look the age he is supposed to act in the show, I guess some people see him in a different way than others.
