Metallica is dead to me...

Everyone has probably heard of them at some point in their lives, others probably still listen to them. Me, I'm starting to REALLY sick of them. At one point in my life I liked their music, mainly their early 80's stuff. The reason for my change is simple, "Mandatory Metallica" time. For whatever reason, most Rock radio stations in the US have an hour or two dedicated to just Metallica. A band that has done little for the music industry in recent years, other than complain about everything. But getting back to this hour or two a week of them, has gotten old over the years. They had their time in the spotlight, it's time to move on right? Surely these radio stations could select another band, say Aerosmith, and give them an hour. Does anyone else get annoyed with this? I don't mind a random track here and there, but dedicated time to one band is silly. The radio is for variety, if I wanted nothing but Metallica I could pop a CD in or burn one of my favorite tracks.

Metallica should be banned from the radio till they get their heads out of their anal orifice. They should also be made fun of constantly for being the biggest sellout in musical history *are you reading this, lars?* Metallica is the band that every other band striving to break into the industry should hold up as the glowing example of what not to do once you have enough money. Mandatory Metallica is simply a way to wear down resistance of the American brain, so when G Dubya decides nukes are good weapons we won't be able to disagree. Zombies!!

It's not so much a matter of their heads in their rear. I just get sick of all of the radio stations observing this "Mandatory" event. Not everyone is a huge fan, some people prefer to listen to the variety, rather than the same crap week in and week out.
