russell arnold - a sensible cricketer!!

Arnold decided to remove his shoes after this world cup.It is a sensible decision because he was playing cricket for about 10 years.he being a middle order batsman dis his best well in this world cup.
The selectors of Sri lankan cricket did not include when he was out of form.He never crumbled anything for his deletion.
He worked hard in the domestic circle he was lucky enough to get a chance to play the world cup.
I really welcome his decision and wish him best of luck in his coaching career.

Russel is a good batsman and can bat in any position, including as an opener, however it is very difficult to play his game when there is a fear of being ommited. Under the given circumstances he has done a good job.
but why to quit cricket in such early age !he had time to play more...may be bcoz o the world cup frustrations he took that decission.

Yes you are right. He has been a great cricketer. He is considered to be the back bone for the middle order in Sri Lankan team. An aggressive batsmen with clever strokes. At any time of the game, he will be ready to play and would make a good contribute to his team. Meanwhile he is also a good fielder. I feel his decision as right and i am sure that Sri Lankans will miss him!
