I dare not eat street food. Keeping a good health is important for busy people in modern society.

Where I live now street food isn't available. But when I lived on the west coast I would buy street food about once a week. It always depended on what they had available as to what I would purchase. I think my favorite would have to be polish sausage made Chicago style. It reminded me of home.

Kwek-kwek, waffle (or wapol), kikiam, Baga. Goodie-goodie. I pick my kiosks though. I don't usually trust those mobile kiosk where they sell fishballs and dip them in mutated, stagnated, bacteria-dominated sauce. I pick stalls near at home or those approved in school.

Here in the UK we don't have the same 'street foods' as you do there in the Philippines. I have spent quite a lot of time there in the last two or three years, my wife comes from Bacolod City. We have eaten some of the foods there and they have been ok, but I do tend to keep to fruits rather than the other foods, but I've had some, enjoyed them and never been sick, but I have been guided by my wife.

No, I don't eat any street food. It's usually unhealthy and often unappetizing.

There are not that amany different kinds of street food where I live. I suppose there are more in larger places like NYC or even overseas. Around here there are hot dogs, sausages, hot pretzels, and fried dough. I will ocassionally eat this stuff, especially if we go to a fair or some other street event. I really do love the fried dough though. Especially when they brush some butter on it and load it with a whole lot of powdered sugar.

I love eating isaw (small intestines of a chicken), bochi (small intestines of a pig), calamares, pig's ears, banana and camote cue, peanuts and all other kinds of nuts, sweet and hot anchovies, goto (porridge with tripe), mami, fishballs, quekiam, kwek kwek and tokneneng (quail/chicken eggs in the ubiquitous orange batter), sago gulaman (tapioca balls and gelatin in sugared water), buco juice, and all sorts really. Haha. Eating street foods has become a part of our lievs, especially us Filipinos. For some it's fear factor fare, but for us, it's every day fare. ;)

There are times that i really crave street foods like fishballs so what i do is, i would give in to it by buying it in the supermarket and cooking it for my satisfaction. There are street foods that i couldn't resist like the BBQ, but i made it sure that it was clean, i usually bought it from our neighbor who makes tasty BBQ.

I am not too fond of the street foods either for the very reason that I am afraid of the hygiene. I do sometimes eat a New York pretzle from a street vendor though.

i try to avoid even simple take-away food nowadays to avoid getting stomach sickness. If i travel overseas i will definitely not eat street food - unless it is simple foods like nuts or icecream or something like that - but definitely not other types of cooked food. I don't want my trip ruined by a bit of food poisoning which i would be sure to get from any non-restaurant foods.

Mine is fish balls. I love it with spicy sauce. I do not like to eat the real fish balls, which is made of real fish meat. I also like the intestines, the thinner ones.... well done, dipped in vinegar. yummm. Also some pork barbeque and gulaman on the side.
