Just wondering how everyone else out there feels about public transportation. Well i have my own car a very nice one but still i have to take the bus to my work place everyday...simply because i make same time with my car or with the bus...I can travel free with public transportation, and most of time i choose to take the bus...but!!!...sometimes i HATE!!... What do you hate most about public transportation? Trains/buses that is always late? Getting pushed around while getting into the train/bus? Sitting next to a guy that don't bathe in a month?

I am always disgusted taking up jeepneys for a ride...People are stupid and they lacks discipline...Sometimes, you can smell odor from your seatmate,aw! Well the point was, arent they're embarassed of taking a public transport yet they dont bother to take a bath knowing that they could smell by someone they dont know...

Oh, I HATE that! If ever I'm seated next to a guy who has body odor I definitely would move as far away from his as possible. But what I really hate is when it's rush hour and I took a cab and with my luck, I ended up with a cab driver who has body odor! I can't get out because it's rush hour and I probably won't get any other cab so I have to sit there for 30 minutes trying not to breath!

I can't do it. I have tried to take the bus but it turned out to be the scare of my life. When I got off the bus, I was followed by this very scary man that looked like he had been living in hiding for the past few years and this is when he comes out once and a while to find his next victim! LOL Seriously, not funny when you get to your next destination and then it is not open! So, you have to sit there and wait. But behold...this axe murderer is also waiting to get into the same place AND starts to talk to himself in a violent manner. Umm...no, I will never do it again! I'll take my car or call for a ride instead. ha ha

LMAO Yes, I have a vivid imagination. But I must entertain myself some how. ha ha You should have seen the guy...he really was scary! And then another guy comes up and sits on the ground beside me saying that he will keep the other guy away. Course...I think he just sat there with me so he could keep bumming smokes off of me. ha ha But it DID keep the axe murderer away. ha ha

Public Transportation is the only way that I am able to travel. and I do not as a rule mind it . I have never owned a car not held a drivers license so i do not miss having a car and over my life time what I have spent on public transportation probably wouldn't even put a down payment on a car, never mind repairs insurance tires, gas oil etc, The only thing that gets to me is if some one has eaten a huge amount of garlic, it makes me gag and has only happened to me a few times, I only had to ride for a half hour at the most I pity any one who has to work with some one that reeks of garlic. it is disgusting. And the next thing is body odor, but at least I can move in the bus or train , if you have to work with some one like that it would be unbearable, and I would surly say something to them.

I have to take a bus everyday to go to my University and what can I say ...sometimes I have really big problems with the people that travel with me . I will answer to your questions in the order that have wrote them :). The bus is always on time but I had some problems because of the rush hour and I've been late a couple of time . Another problem with buses in here is that they are full and the people are getting pushed and often I see argues between people . The last question makes me remember the last time I toke the bus so I really don't want to talk about this, I can say one thing : This is the part that I hate the most ! I have a driver license but I don't have my own car so I'll have to take the bus no matter what .

well i only use public transport if and when it is neccessary. You come in contact with all manner if people, people who have some illness or the other, people with bad body odour and probably bad mouth odour. Also it depends on the cab itself. you would get into some cabs and it would seem you have been grossed under a moving train, with your shirts all soiled and dirtied, even your crisp shirt looks rough like you didnt get to iron it before leaving the house. I would rather hike to where i am going or get a friend to pick me up.

I do not use Public Transport as I have Panic attacks on them so I always use my own Car But I have to admit I would not be keen on using it at all with what my Kids used to tell me about them

I dont usually use public transportation because we dont have it hear. Most everyone drives there own car or truck. But I was on a bus a couple of times in another state and it was really bad. It was in the middle of summer and not just one but at least 3 or 4 four people smelled so bad and on top of it there was no AC. I never rode the bus again.

I think I never sat next to a guy who didn't take bath for a month, lol.I can't stay without taking bath for even a single day myself :-P I usually don't travel by bus ,but at times I travel in metro and sometimes in Jeep. For the metros I don't like when I don't get a seat and the journey is long, but what I just hate is being pushed around when the station comes because people want to exit.If you don't stand tough ,then therush could almost carry you out of the train and sometimes you have to use force to withstand the tide of passangers who seem to be having a personal vendetta against you.To avoid getting angry I play it as a game and push them inside when they push me :-P.I prefer to travel by car or in an empty compartment of the metro.

i'm lucky-i lost my sense of smell,so guys like that don't bother me LOL what really drives me crazy is buses they change the schedule on without warning, uncontrolled children on the bus,and drivers who try to squeeze "one more" into late night buses that are already overfull. and also drivers that leave earlier than the schedule on cross-country buses.

What I dislike in public transportation is if there is smoking inside the bus. Pushing me or crushing me is a no no also. How much more if somebody next to me did not take a bath for a month or so, then I will go out at once even I'll be late in going to work.

public transpo means also public sharing of virus, bacteria, odor etc,, beacuse we dont even now if the one sitting beside us has some sort of bacteria or virus can easily transfer.

public transportation has some disadvantages as you said. but the most important thing is we can have interaction with many people and also its cheaper. if your work needs you to be in time then never prefer it, otherwise we can enjoy this.

I have had the experience take the bus for 1 year which in my first working year,I was in bus station on time to wait the bus came, unfortunately,I always squash by other people around the bus gate, sometimes I was very luck to get the seat except an older man stood beside me,I am a good manners man,so the older man took the seat, if you didn't,other people's eyes won't kill you until you give up the seat. But I never met the guy who don't bather in a month. Now I have factory ar on duty,a bit omformtable vehicle than before.

public transpo in my country is really2 unreliable.i live in jakarta, indonesia n i choose to use my own car to commute.i have to be very selective if i want2use public transpo.if i want to take taxi then i'll only choose one of my favourite taxi company.i'll never take public bus coz i had one time got my purse stolen n 2nd time almost got robbed.maybe it's just my bad luck,but4me it some kind of warning that i'll never take public bus.but i had once took a bus when i was in high school and sat next to a man with his body odor could killed the entire city n i just simply moved away from him.
