Egold has been indicted by US government for money laundering and illegal money transmitting. I got this information here: http://www.usdoj.gov/opa/pr/2007/april/07_crm_301.html I'm quite a bit worried. Do you have any solution or just an idea? Please share it here...

I am alarmed by this problems especially now that the US government has seized the accounts of money exchangers and being accused of money laundering is no joke. I would certainly hoping that this would be settled as International members would surely have some problems to it, considering that the only processor we could used for now is e-gold. I think it would be best if someone would created another program like this one and not allow US members to it because the usual problems that arises is that e-gold is operating in US , that's the reason why e-gold got seized by American government.

I have read some article that explains about this event, and most of people I know think that the US gov do this for money. Can't tell that they're wrong.. isn't their bank filled with the black money from unknown sources? E-gold is using Gold as medium, and since gold is physical property, you're not bound by taxes... that's how US Gov getting fed of E-gold. Aw.. anyway, just reading can't help, I'm really serious about finding an alter payment.

Saintduren- you're wrong, the government isn't doing this to make money. Any seized assets that cannot be linked to illegal activity will be held in a fund to reimburse members who may lose money as a result of any prosecution. Your analysis of property and taxes is flawed and inaccurate as well.

E-gold is claiming that they have nothing to do with the criminal activities, and it's seem like they're not easily closed. However, they gonna shut down Omnipay (Their best market) in order to get through this, and probably they have to restrict service from some countries. None can guarantee that your (or mine) accounts are safe. Still I'm working hard for E-gold-accepted programs. Stay in touch with any news you can, and if you want, discuss it here, I'm welcome any constructive subscription :) Regards
